So I have a Snugtop rebel shell with a full sleeping platform with all my gear in the back. If I get the full kit, with just an AAL, will that and your shocks support my setup? I have an AC 4x4.

So I was always told that ome coils should never go above the initial notch. Is that not the case with Eibach? I’ve been wanting to replace my 888’s due to aggressive sag to get my 2.75 back and these caught my eye.

 

Eibach will not sag if that’s the question.

 

My question was more geared toward the clip placement on the 5100’s. I was under the impression coils shouldn’t be ran over the first clip but am reading people do Eibachs on the second.

Can I do that and not sacrifice the shock? I’m wanting to get my height back and would do this in a heart beat if it’s acceptable.

 

I second this question. I want 2.5" in the front and the second clip achieves this. Will the ride be too stiff at this setting?

 

I would say this comes down to personal preference. Quite a few guys in this thread have posted they are happy with the ride on the 2nd clip.

 

Do these 14" 650lb springs work with Bilstein 5100's? in the description all it says is "These have a 3" ID to fit on 2.5" coilover shocks." Does that include the 5100's? Sorry if that's a dumb question.

I have a guy in another thread that is saying you guys have a 14" 620lb spring that's rated for 2.5" for the 2nd gen that works with 5100's? Which are these: https://eibach.com/us/e30-82-007-03-20-2005-2015-toyota-tacoma-pro-lift-kit

Would those work on a 3rd Gen and give 2.5" over the 2" on the ones you guys have listed for 3rd gens?

 

I've read through most of this thread and cannot make my mind up if I should get new SPC UCA's when I go with second clip in the front. If I can run stock UCA's that would be awesome, but seems like it's 50/50 split with people that do end up going with the middle clip (2.5" lift)

 

You are confusing double ground coilover
springs with OE style springs. The 5100 need an OE shape spring specifically on the ends.

 

The 1/4" top plate spacer is for the front and helps to accommodate for the lean you see when switching from factory to aftermarket coils. It provides 1/2" of lean correction.

 

I get a lot of my customers who see how the alignment goes and then taking it from there. We do have special discounts on uca's in case you end up needing some.

Attempted to at least install the fronts done today but major fail. Two of the jacks I had couldn't lift the taco high enough to get the front wheels off the ground. Same goes with my jack stands. I'm wondering if I really need to remove my wheels to at least get the swaybar relocation kit on. At least I can get that going till I'm better equipped to life the truck.

Might just get two of these guys since I need jack stands anyways.

You can always use wood as an extender, I've done this many times.

 

When making adjustments to the 5100s when paired with something other than the factory coils, one needs to consider the possibility of coil bind. With the OME coils, specifically the 888's, the wire diameter, free length and ring count is such that coil bind could be an issue once you start adjusting the shocks up.

With the Eibach coils I'm thinking the ring count and free length make it so adjusting the 5100's wouldn't be an issue, but I would confirm with with Eibach first. We still need to dimension everything out and compare the two shocks just to make sure.
