Story of the day(in my life) read if you want.

I was driving through the Ceder Hills mall parking lot. You know how you need to stop to let peds cross so they can get to their vehicle. Well, I stopped for a mom and her daughter( trying to be a courtesy driver) as I was stopping the guy behind me honked his horn like crazy! I am like what the heck is going on as I look back the guy swerves around me almost hitting the mom and girl. I am thinking what a jerk! So I speed up behind him, he slams his brakes and I almost rear end him... What the heck! He roles down his window flipping me off telling me F you, yelling at the top of his lungs! I role my window down saying "Calm down dude." I think that made him even more mad. He opens up his door and tells me to get out of the truck. At this moment I am thinking dude I am not going to fight you and I don't want to go to jail. So I back up in the other lane of traffic hoping he is not chasing after me which he was not. I am glad I just got out of it.

 

people are retarded. I would have let him approach my car so I could club his ass with my maglite. thats just me though.

 

This is why you don't "speed up behind him" (Read: Chase him and make it worse) You caught a break when he didn't kill the pedestrians-No need to make a statement or do first aid. At that point- Let it go.

You never know when the dude is going to be having roid rage or hopped on on PCP or meth and will kill you or at elast try...for no reason at all. And I garantee you are never going to change his attitude...so it's not worth risking your lift to try.

Even with the options I have to protect myself and my family...I will walk away sooner than get into a fight. Letting it go past you is a pretty sure thing....Getting into a scrap is dangerous.

Let's say he attacks you, you beat him down to a bloody pulp and walk away. Then you wind up in jail, cuz you didn't stop beating him soon enough. Better to just let this stuff go away if possible.

On a side note, if it comes down to you or them, don't forget you are driving a 4000 lb weapon. Don't be too quick to jump out of it!

come on now, everyone can be all high and mighty and say he shouldn't have sped up behind him, but come on. 75% of you would have done the same thing unless you're a passivist. i would have done the exact same thing, except with my temper would have gotten out of the truck and called him out. dumb? absolutely. but no one else is going to stand up to that fuck. i stand up for random ass people all the time, probably gonna get the best of me one day but i'd rather die standing up than running away.

Agreed. Piss on them. People are in such a flipp'n hurry to get no where. I cut the assholes off who try to stay in the lane that is closed just to speed to the point where they have to cut someone else off to get back into traffic. Screw them. I take up two lanes so idiots like them get pissed. So someone wants to get out and fight me? Whatever, I will give it more skinny pedal and mow them over before I get out of my truck. F that. If they are stupid enough to get pissed and try to fight, they DESERVE to meet my fare lead.

I'll stand up to someone when I'm in a situation where I have no choice- Already out of the car...In a bar..whatever. But chasing someone down to confront them isn't standing up for anyone-it's picking a fight.
