I'm thinking about drag bars for my 48. I've always liked the look and there's something about the 48 with the peanut tank and the side profile of an American Bison, which is appealing. Minor tank lift would add to the profile. I'm wondering about the ergonomics. I'm 6'1" and don't want to be slouched to the point my back hurts.

We have family in Long Island and dread making that trip lol. The Belt parkway is rough, always get stuck in traffic there.

Imagine me making the trip to Queens/LI just to see @uurx :anonymous: and on my 60 mile per tank bike - its 300 miles on the route that I normally go. So thats 7+ fill ups?

I like the look, but not the actual comfortability

Lol that just means lots of stops to stretch the legs. Swing by Philly and I'll make the trip up with you.

I used a relocation kit from DK Customs, but my 1200S is a '96 so I only have one plug per cylinder.

It definitely helped to clean up the space under the tank

With the new (smaller) tank it is even more noticeable.

I did a couple of 250-300 mile rides with drags on my '96. It was doable, but definitely not comfortable. A lot of soreness in the wrist and elbows after a while, not to mention the lower back. Bad ass look for a bar hopper though.

Do you pretty much only do trips around town? I can’t imagine a tank that small, I felt super constrained going from a 6 gallon tank on the KLR to a 4 gallon on the F750.

Sportys are so comfortable that you really look forward to stopping for gas after 50-75 miles.

I had forwards on it in that picture. I can't run forwards with the pipe I have now. I'd swap pipes and go back, but the Thunderheader is the best performing pipe currently available for rigid mount EVOs
