Do you think it’ll last another month? There’s talk of states reducing the quarantine time because the estimates were so understated

I wouldn't even call it quarantine, depending on where you live. It's almost normal where I live. Went to Lowe's, walked around to kill time for a while last weekend. Most everything else still open, all restaurants open except you can't sit inside. It's normal in a lot of places, the weird shit is probably just big cities. The only affect I have even seen is my brokerage account, which isn't looking good but recovering.

I have zero interest in doing it, but just curious about it when we were talking ladder structuring dividends.

Month of quarantine left? We went back to full time at my office Monday.

A lot of people are pissed about it. Especially since the engineering team is still on a work from home rotational schedule but everyone else was told to suspend work from home setups. :D:D

I've basically been in every day anyway, so whatever.

Yeah same here, the Marshall's is closed (I think still...could be wrong), there's a few weird things like counting people inside Shaw's, but overall since I'm not trying to go to the grocery store Saturday at 10AM with the rest of the world (never have, never will) I have not seen much of a difference in my day to day. Dog parks still closed, that's sad I guess.

Dow's up on opening, annnnd we're off! :burnrubber:

I don't do enough I guess to notice much difference, but it's been almost the same for me. Also, hardly any cases here and a small town. I am sure NYC is pure hell right now.

Oh yeah, and I am hearing the south (LA, GA, etc) is just kicking off now like we were a few weeks ago (I'm in RI, near NYC and had the whole quarantine, work from home, TP Rush, etc)

That's my biggest concern. If NYC, Michigan, whatever, peak soon, then what happens if it "rolls" through the country slowly? We can't stay closed forever. It's a mess and I won't pretend like I have the answer.

Well, the other thing too - the later it "hits" an area, the less impact it may have. With testing efforts, better and faster testing, more understanding of the virus, etc.

PS - I almost bought NYMT yesterday but landed on TRMT instead. But I am on PMT, so far that's up 10% on the day :p

It's funny that you mention PMT. They own my mortgage. I paid April 1 so you're welcome :D

Mine too, actually, which is why I even looked them up.

Not sure my overall. We'll probably have a decent train up for the next few months now.

I actually have some too :p Eh why not. Diversify!

What are your thoughts on the mortgage REITs (like PMT)? They were decimated, down like 70% from their normal prices. Do you see them recovering? Are you adding at these prices? I own a few and am honestly not sure what to do with them.

GPMT is also very similar to TRTX. I had some a few days ago and sold before they dropped. Once my settled funds come through, I’ll be picking up GPMT

These mortgage REITs were mostly around $20 a share and stable for a very long time, now around $5. I am caught bag holding these things, and you guys are able to get in at $5 and ride it up. I am pretty jealous, but learned my lesson on these!

I bought Norwegian cruise lines way too high, at an average of like $20 a share. I’ve been increasingly purchasing it and gotten down to an average of $12.18 a share but now I have 100 shares of it lmao. RIP.

It hovered around $40-$60 for years. All you need is for it to get back to normal and you'll make a killing selling. I think it will get back, may take some time though.

Ugh, why does becoming stupid wealthy take so long. I’m a millennial, I don’t have patience for that.
