Grab some oak leaves and you have yourself a nice little dish :stirthepot:

Don't mind me, I'm just jealous because the only thing that grows around here is crab grass and dandelions...

I'm really enjoying the lack of activity out there. Just went to Target. Barely anyone there. Only 4 self-checkouts open, in and out 5 minutes.

    Morning all. Happy Thursday!
With this weird schedule of reduced hours that we're on now, I've got Wednesdays off. Did I miss anything interesting yesterday?

Does that mean it's got whiskey in it?

Figures. Tuesday I checked the forecast and it said 'rain' so yesterday I picked up a load of composted manure from a local horse farm and worked it into all of the beds. The new forecast:

Oh well. Some poor man's fertilizer, I guess. :notsure:

We've been holding off on grass seed another week, maybe two because of these lows. I want to get going because the weather has been nice and I have plenty of time right now, but mother nature ain't having it

Total load of manure if ya ask me

A 'full-size truck' load, at that. :stirthepot:

I hadn't planned on planting anything just yet because we're still getting hard frosts about every night, but it still annoys me because it'll slow down the soil warming up and push back when I can plant. And it'll add a fair amount of mud to my lower lot, which had just started drying out enough to work with.

Not squatting bad at all for that much weight. I'm sure that stuff wasn't exactly dry.

I dropped grass seed and clover seed out front about a week ago. For me, "green is good" is all I care about, I just had some mud patches from last year. It was a dry summer and killed a lot of my grass. I don't water the lawns either, so that didn't help. Whatever, if it grows, it grows.

No, definitely not dry. Their tractor was down so I had to load it via manure fork & shovel and I can confirm that it was very wet and very heavy
I think regular weight for compost is around 700/yard, and at a guess there's about 1.5 yards of wet & heavy in there, so I'd guess conservatively at around 1200-1300lbs. I didn't scale the truck, but I still had plenty of room between the bump stops and the pads. Which makes sense, because I know I wasn't pushing anything close to the max payload of 2300

    Edit- Bump stops:
