What little bit of digging I’ve seen most people seem to think the OR is the most comfortable daily drive on road. That seems counterintuitive but that’s why I ask.

If you want “floaty”, the stock OR suspension fits the bill. Kinda like a late 70s American sedan. Plush.

I did not like it myself, so upgraded (changed) the shocks and springs.

If you have alot of rough roads to travel the OR is a good choice.

    I had a 2017 DCSB SR5 4X4. Drove like a truck.
    I have a 2020 DCSB TRD OR 4X4. Drives like a truck.
I don't really notice a difference on paved roads.
I wouldn't buy an OR just for the ride 'quality'.
NOTE: SR, SR5, and Limited all have the same suspension.

Yes. I changed the shocks out for Bilstein 5100s and the truck handles more to my preference now. I did not like the brake-dive and wallowy feel of the stock OR shocks, but will agree they are a more comfortable ride.

ide say sport, stiffer shocks, thicker sway bar, pretty sure its the more on road preferred trim.

Everyone likes different flavors. I like the Sport, it doesn't nose dive and corners better than a truck should. Potholes and mall crawling sucks bumpy ass though.

For the money, the OR has more options than the Sport. No brainer

Oh and I love the cushy drive vs the Sports stiff ride...

I dunno “Tacman19”. Please change your forum name to ‘Tacoma Driving Human, Model Year 2019’. We’d all appreciate it.

We have an off road. The ride is very soft, there is a lot of body roll around corners and the front end dives down even under normal braking. Our plan is to get different suspension for it but keep it at or near stock height. If I were to get another one I would get a sport.

I didnt like the offroad suspension on my long bed, Ive talked to a few people and it seems that people with long beds have bouncing issues with the offroad suspension, while short bed owners dont have these issues.

I swapped to pro suspension ands its much improved.
