So @Kwikvette, do you "socialize" your spiders, getting them used to being handled, hand feed them, liking the warm hand to sit and chill in etc or do you leave them "wild?"

Well that was an interesting work call...Gonna get a lot more remote work from home thrown my way soon. Apparently a lot of people at the company were furloughed, but they're still wanting to push the new website we made live right before shit hit the fan so I'm going to be a part of that. Keeps me on payroll awhile longer at least lol.

I'm going to level up my TW game this month and finally install the clairaised LED light pods that I purchased 3 yrs ago this month. Question: has anyone ever repurposed the elocker switch into a light switch? No mo elocker and it's already there so I figure why not.

Not sure if you mean all that, but if you do, I'll kindly answer.

Tarantula's aren't meant to be handled, and should only be done if absolutely necessary. They won't get used to it, they won't act differently if they see you, nothing. They do not socialize and don't care to.

Instinctively, anything larger than them is a predator. Anything as big or smaller is prey.

They like to remain in their burrows, tunnels, wherever they call home. Males venture out to seek a female for mating reasons and that's it. They don't hang out, they don't catch up on last weeks events...they flat out ignore each other.

There are very few species that actually thrive as a community, two of which are commonly kept as a communal setup, but that's as much as I know.

As long as the enclosure's temperatures are within that of their natural habitat, and if the enclosure is setup for the proper species type (arboreal, terrestrial, fossorial), and humidity levels are maintained (for species that require it), that's that.

I've seen a switch in that location but not the actual switch itself used for lighting.

    *let's friend borrow truck*

Seems like a pretty ideal spot.

I will say this, not to bash or anything, but I’m fairly disappointed in my caliraised lights

I thought they were damn bright, but the angle needs working on to utilize the side shooters.

At least for me that is.
