I am half way thru a bag of them. I was afraid of it jamming mine since I just had to pull it apart and clean it. It's been fine so far with the oversized pellets.

All done .. accidentally turned the knob to off thus causing the fan to blow harder resulting in higher temp.. a bit crisp , but still amazing..

3 full racks of ribs. Packed one for my friend, ate one in the process and packed the last one for left over

After eating and packing, decided to hit the storage fridge and grabbed 3 more whole racks to BBQ again tmr.

Okay, funny story from a Yankee, (me). :crapstorm:

The 2nd time I moved to Texas from Minnesota, (I'm on my 3rd and final now), was in '92, when Hormel transferred me to their Houston plant. Having heard all about how brisket is king here, I bought one at the local grocery store, and proceeded to cook it on my Weber charcoal grill, just as I would with a steak. After the cook time of, oh, let's just say 10-15 minutes, I pulled it off, and dug in. That was on a Saturday, I think I finished chewing my first bite sometime on Sunday, and when I went back to work on Monday, I told my coworkers that I didn't see how brisket was all that great. They asked how I cooked it, I told them, and I strongly believe one of those fellas is still laughing... :bananadead:

It's a nice little area up here. Housing is expensive but there are still a few places to find a decent market. But, yeah we're looking to move south for the warmth. I'm thinking mostly a freezer, I don't know that I'd want a second fridge. But I could be convinced on a mini fridge if needed. Seems like it wouldn't get much use. And the energy costs....but, we are thinking about a solar array (especially if we go south too!)

I do have a sealer, it's not a great one, but I don't do much right now. If I get into hunting and fishing, I'd use it until it dies and then probably get a commercial one or something.

I'm not a fan of big game hunting. Scratch that - I'm not a fan of processing a big game hunt for myself (and my buddies...). My wife is a vegan, so a deer would be too much, I know that sounds silly. That's why I'm thinking small game and rabbit. I don't have a rifle or hunting license now, either. If we move south I'd be in it for sure. I do have a catahoula at least :D

Good point! I do have an attached 1 car but it's not temp controlled, so winter goes to about 50 (maybe 45 on the strong days), summer it definitely heats up too, but it is attached and under a gable end so it doesn't have the worst of the heat. I'll keep that in mind when I'm looking.
Don't blame us yanks. Some of us know better. :D Jesus how did you manage that....Not to mention that's a hell of a steak to flip :D :D

I'm a fan of brisket, but have to get it at a restaurant or BBQ truck or something. I don't eat much red meat, so a whole brisket is just too much. A corned beef brisket is about the max size I go for when it's just me, and that still would last me about a week.

I still had some leftover pulled pork from Saturday’s smoke so I added to my morning omelette:

That’s a lot of money for that thing. Only has 1” insulation even if it is military grade. Not any better than the 2” fireboard and 2” matting we used. Wonder where they are built?
    He is a dick anyway.

Anyone who describes anything as "military grade" and thinks it is a good thing has never used military equipment.

    LOL.

The only thing I do that for is my phone cases. I have this type of case:
    https://www.amazon.com/CarterLily-S...ds=iphone+aluminum+case&qid=1586378382&sr=8-1

for iphone 5 and 7 (work, personal). Hot damn that thing works, dropped it on a tile and chipped the tile. Phone was A-OKAY. Highly recommend. Makes it heavy, sure. But worth it. I broke 2 iphone7 screens because of the bezel curves. So I got this and haven't had that problem anymore. Been using the cases for a few years now. I had a year or two I used a wallet combined phone case, which is awesome, but I abuse my phones too much. Sometimes the Amazon description is "military grade". That, worth it.

Making chicken broth with the carcasses of two alder smoked chickens. My god man, what is that smell? Smells amazing.
