I think that's why Toyota's engineers put the low grip, skinny tires from a Prius on it. You can drift those things at like 25 mph. They were also forward thinking enough to design the hatch to hold an extra set of tires and a floor jack for track days.

honestly I had a GD3 2008 Fit Sport... I had way too much fun in that car, dumped on some H&Rs blacked out windows, mugen style visors, smoke/red LED tails... gutted airbox... talk about a momentum master you could bury your foot in the gas all the time

Then I lent it to my tenant who had two dead cars at the time and she got rear ended by an F350 that didn’t even hit the brakes. Smashed and totalled it, yet the car still ran perfect and didn’t even have a check engine lamp. I should have just chopped the back off and welded some trailing arms on it

    no good deed goes unpunished

 I love those little ugly things
low HP cars are under appreciated in the good ol usa, and people often power:rate ratio simply being focused with advertised HP figures

it is a shame though, so much can still be had without the extra power

I have a base model. I havent cleaned the inside, and the outside has dings and dents. But 164k miles and manual. Its fun/ok for what it is. Just didnt want to use my truck for my 2 mile commute to work. The only thing Ive done is replace the wipers. It needs a rear wiper motor, but I dont plan on replacing it. I will remove and use a plug when I need to get my safety inspection. Hopefully its like fogs, and if its not there, doesnt need to work. Its kinda hard to not mod it, but also since its just a beater, its kinda nice.

At least weekly on the BMW :anonymous: I dropped a couple teeth on the countersprocket so it rips through first/second/third around town. She sings at 7500 or so. Honda doesn't have a tach so I have no idea where redline is, just go off when the power curve starts feeling like it drops.

Don't get me wrong, either, I still want a grom and I've been toying with the idea of putting a lifan clutch'ed engine on my CT90 for months instead of the '68 semi-auto thats on there now.

    Social distancing!

She feels great! It’s like she really loosened up and rides awesome. Along with me being more comfortable. I’m telling you, 3rd and 4th gears is where she’s happy. Got lost on some country roads, no traffic, no bullshit.

Get out and ride y’all! :bikewheelie2:

3.3 as well. No desire to change color. But thanks though!

Honestly tho I was commuting 100 miles a day in the Fit and gas was $4-5 a gallon at the time, so it was saving me a ton of money. Plus if I drank too much, the rear was 5% tint and magic seats folded all the way flat. After putting like 90k miles on it when it was totalled I had gone shopping for the Tacoma the week before strangely. Anyway, the insurance paid me WHAT I PAID FOR IT NEW since the demand and resale was so high on them at the time since fuel prices had gone up and I got it for what it cost the dealer (my buddy was the sales manager and I have this problem with hoarding Hondas...) So I walked into the local Toyota dealer Freeman in SR after trying 4-5 times to get it from the Toyota Dealer my work OWNED(Toyota of Marin). Freeman had the DCLB Sport Upgrade2 package in Magnetic Gray... They sold it to me fresh off the truck with the most basic of PDIs and never even got detailed for $2k below invoice, so it saved me over $5k for an "employee deal" from Toyota of Marin. I had the truck half paid off before the first month payment was due :D

Hondas and their magic seats. I had 2 Elements before I had the truck. Both awesome. First one was an 05 FWD manual, and the second was an 04 AWD manual. I loved the vinyl floor, and all of the configurations of the seats. I even fit a bike inside! I probably put way too much $ into them, but they were fun

My sisters BF used to have a CRV 4WD 5 speed stick, and he saw my Tacoma and was like "Wow, I need to get a real truck/SUV" and kept talking about taco/runner options. He called me super excited to show me his new SUV and he had an ELEMENT EX 5speed stick. I instantly started laughing but he drives it every day with a RTT and loves the hell out of that thing. It is very practical and can change to suit a variety of needs.

Oops, left out the legally part . This is why we can’t just have one bike. Have the grom for taking camping and cruising around town. The KTM for ripping it in the woods and now I need... don’t know yet, keeping my eyes open for the next deal. Ideally an adventure bike/ something playful at speed.

Was hoping to get the Africa Twin 1100 this year but Coronavirus had alternate plans for me. I have been at work but not super busy.

What type of tracks were you racing at? Luckily(unluckily) there aren’t any tracks in Montana to make me get the racing bug. I see all these guys on gokart tracks that make it seem way more fun than you make it out to be.
