Hello I'm new here and I read some of the threads on Fox 2.5 coil-overs. I have purchase the Fox 2.5 coil-over reservoir through 4Wheelparts in Oregon with the 05-up Tacoma Tubular UCA DJ kit from Icon where I can adjust the front to have a 3-inch clearance. Now 4Wheelparts here in California say I can’t adjust it at all. Will I lose caster by going up half of and inch? tacoma.jpg

You can definitely adjust the preload.... but there is a certain degree which you should not going over. Accutune offroad is very knowledgeable about coilovers may want to pm them. I think 4 wheel parts just doesnt want to be liable if something was to go bad

Great, Thank you. I checked with Fox and on their page you can with an aftermarket UCA. I wonder if it needed to be a Uniball or ball joint UCA.

FOX 2.5 DSC and some other stuff too.
Uniball vs Delta Joint vs ball joint is irrelevant in this context. The UCAs you purchased are top quality and more than sufficient for your needs. Depending on which Fox 2.5 you purchased, it is either rated for 0-2 inch lift or 0-3 inch lift. However even with the extended kit it is not uncommon to only be able to achieve approximately 2.5 inches or so. This will depend on a lot of factors such as extra weight you have, etc. But from many of the experts on here, do not extend the shock length past 21 inches when the vehicle weight is resting on it. Extra weight may require longer and/or heavier springs to achieve desired lift height.

Thanks everyone for that information. I’ll wait to see once I add more static weight to the truck(roof rack/tent, deck box, etc)

Welcome to TW! If you go that route make sure the shop you are using know what they are doing. I had some delta joints pressed into my billet Icon UCAs and they practically destroyed them.
