that's easily avoidable. those batteries last a pretty long time.. and its not hard to leave one on charge in the truck at all times.

    I quite clearly do

But acting like you have shop air from 2 little pumps mounted on your truck is a bit silly

Unless you're going out and wheeling/camping for an entire month I can't imagine a battery dying while being out.

That powered ratchet is in my truck now and I've yet to charge it since last year.

As for the impact, I've removed and installed multiple tires, as well as having broken a ton of seized bolts (had mod days at my house a few times) while on the stock battery.

I have a 5AH battery I've yet to even use because the 1.5AH stock battery hasn't died (it's really low though). And that's from last year as well.

its not replacing shop air. you cant compare 24+ CFM to a onboard tiny ass compressor.
the tank makes up for it and the useage you'd even use an impact off a OBA setup would allow ample time to recover the tank.

True you can't, but your onboard air would be for tires anyway.

Unless of course you're going to have a big ass tank mounted for that supply you'll need to run tools.

2.5 gallon or 5 gallon is all you need. even just for filling tires i'd still run a tank. leave it empty. let it fill when your on the trail then go around filling your tires when your done. quickest turn around.

I actually want OBA on the tundra for the tire fill dealio. but more so so i can run airbags and not worry about filling them before i go somewhere. ive even though about seting up valves so i can fill it from inside the truck
