I can see myself getting a Africa twin once the kids are out of the house in 18 years and traveling the country.

The scooter talk earlier made me want to get the CT90 out, change the oil, hook up the speedometer, and go for a rip. For shits and giggles I filmed my little shakedown ride around the neighbor hood:

I need to line the tank on it, it has a tiny seep where the tank meets the main body tube. I tried to braze it before but it didn’t work. Probably need to strip and repaint it, too, the gas got under the clear coat and ruined a good chunk of it.

Speed Box. Seems to be fairly accurate if you’re staying steady speeds but can lag a few seconds when you come to a stop or start.

Started using it when I didn’t have a speedo on the CT90, then opened it up again today to check the accuracy of the one I put on.

I have a Flyscreen from National Cycle. It’s just enough to take the wind off my chest and send it over my helmet. It has a lot of adjustability, too.

Wow from 2006 - your phone probably has at least 10x the storage and memory than that thing lol.

I have some boring GoPro videos but wanted to be able to trim them down and do some basic edits. I'll eventually post something when I figure it out.

The only thing I edited on that was using the gopro app to rotate the video 180 degrees, it didn’t auto catch that it was upside down.

Transferred the video to my phone wirelessly and then flipped the video in the app, saved to my camera roll, then uploaded to youtube from the youtube app. Maybe took 5 minutes?

Gopro app is surprisingly decent if all you’re trying to do is some trimming, a little color correcting, adding music or a title, etc.

Here's an old video my buddy took at the track - I'm directly in front of him at 8:28 then he tries to keep up with me for the remainder of the session. (We're obviously not fast my any means, just novices at best having fun)

Gotcha thanks, I'll give the app a shot I've never messed with it before.

Perfect location on the gopro if you do shenanigans so the speedometer is not displayed!

What can you expect from an old cheap bike. That's why I bought new. I didn't want any major problems being my first bike and all. We could take a ride sometime if you want. Just FYI I'm a newb just started riding past summer. I took the safety course this past OCT and got my license.

Haha good that they went during a time no one else was there. Heard if anything but bikes/skates go to FDR, they kick your ass.

idk, that "old cheap bike" though new or used is basically the same... the ninja 250 has barely changed if at all, but like most bikes they do vibrate a lot

sounds more like the fender eliminator kit was either janky at best from the get go, or it just rattled itself loose as so many other components can over time

it is a lesson though, always check out aftermarket parts and inspect as much as possible before buying and really in most cases before any and every ride
