TRTX was. Now is hovering around 25%

I have 50% of my portfolio in it (excluding Roth IRA) I’m hoping for the best lol also gonna snag GPMT when it gets low today. That stock is crazy good too

 

I ran out of money or I would have put in more lmao. I only have like 50ish shares of it, at about $5 a share.

 

Think about it. The Fed plans on holding rates at near zero. They also plan on using 2.2T to buoy MBS and small business. Congress passed almost 3T so far of relief funding. Congress is working on at least another 500B plan for relief. The charts all show Covid-19 is declining. There's a lot to worry about but the market over reacted and is finding it's true value.

 

I would agree, but I felt the market was overvalued before all this, so it seems it’s finding it’s overvalued value again and a proper correction is getting kicked down the road with all the fed money being pumped out there right now.

 

How are you able to tell that? Do you have a source with all stocks and their moves? Just wondering, never saw a source like that.

 

I don't disagree with that at all. The thing is it's a global downturn. If it was just the US that was hit with this surge in unemployment and GDP drop the market would be way lower. Covid has caused the whole world to shut down. I think that's keeping the markets in check and they are just weathering the storm. You can't compare this to the Great Depression, which many are trying too. Those lost jobs aren't lost. They are just on hold. It's like someone hit the pause button for a few months. Once they hit play again the markets will be even happier.

 

Fidelity has this.

 

Every trading platform has one. It should be under the Market tab. From there you can pick largest dollar gainer. largest % gainer, highers volume, highest call to put ratio, yada yada.

 

I bought some GPMT and TRTX yesterday. They are both doing well today.

Were you in contact with a person who tested positive and as a result need to isolate for 14 days? No? Are you advised to stay home but are free to go out to get groceries and other essentials? Yes? Then you're not quarantined.

 

Just a feeling that the market was over valued does not make it so.

 

It is disturbing to me how many people almost seem to WANT a depression and maximum death. Whenever I point out statistics that are positive for our economy and health, I get attacked and it starts an argument. It's morbid really. Sorry if it's not as bad as some want, but it's just not.

I don’t think anyone wants either of those things. I was good with shutting things down to keep the death toll low, figuring the economy would bounce back when things settled down. I’m just a little surprised it seems to be bouncing back already. I was prepared for there to be underlying issues that would slow the climb a bit. And maybe some of those aren’t material enough yet. Or maybe it’s all good, what do I know. Either way, my money is invested and is doing well right now. Of course, I’d like to have even more in play right now. Still great buys out there

 

Maybe I'm just bitter that I only got a few thousand in during the "crash," and hoped to get a hell of a lot more in during any crash that happened. Oh well.
