4x4 fenders would fit on a 2wd ???

    Yes. There are no difference in body panels between a 2WD vs 4WD tacomas unless it's pertaining to different cab or bed lengths.

    2nd gen front fenders are all the same except 4WD and prerunners have flares (holes in the fenders to mount the flares) and 5 lug trucks do not.

    Wow, trippy. I’ve never actually seen a double cab 5 lug. I saw a pic of one here on TW that was lifted and had a bull bar. I just assumed that someone added the flares.

    all the fenders are the same 05-15, only difference is flare holes in some models

    Yup kinda funky looking but i understand why toyota did it they already had the parts and it was getting to the end of the 2nd gen cycle. so they came out with the 5lug 4 door. We actually have 5-6 of em here at my work as work vehicles for campus. neat lil trucks.
