Anyone on here have issues with your coil-overs or bypasses smacking the mounts when turning super tight?

driving straight then I go to turn hard right into a parking lot and I can hear (what I believe because you can see the wear marks) the top and bottoms of both my coils and bypasses up front smacking the mounts on the frame or control arms.

I have remote reservoirs on both and keeping the hoses tighter where they mount keep it from happening so much but not into having those slowing down the twisting.

just curious if anyone had this issue and any solution. Thx

What mounts are you talking about? Coil bucket or custom top shock mounts?

So i did the Chevy 63” leaf swap a while back for better performance but now I’m looking to go SUA and it perform better. What would you guys suggest for a leaf pack that’s 63” eye to eye?

Give deaver a call and see if any of theirs will work. If not they can always make you a custom pack to best suit your needs

What brand shocks? I have some rubber bushings on Kings that keep the top cap from hitting the tabs. I’m pretty sure Fox has them too.

    Yeah. It’s super clean.

Having built my taco similar to that but with a low pro bed cage, he’s gonna miss his bed space. Everyone I talked to before I did my rear LT said “keep what bed space you can”. I’m glad I listened. Unless going full balls to the wall build (cage, links, fuel cell etc) I think you are always better off saving some bed space.

cool looking truck, but having even a little bed space is so nice. I think the owner just wanted the look.

    clean work though!

I can still utilize about 75% of mine, including rolling a dirtbike straight in, but still miss not having a normal bed. bitch to find a first gen replacement for decent price too

I think the owner (just peeped his IG page) is a young guy looking at his truck as more of a toy than a dual purpose truck / rig. I'm more used to seeing full cages on DR - where most guys trailer their rigs. Most guys on here including me plan on using their rigs for exploring / go fast dual purpose stuff - for that reason I forewent shocks through the bed completely with cantilever and am still fighting the temptation to throw some big bypasses through the bed haha.

Any chance of modifying the cantilever arms to accept the bypasses?

I have 12" triples. I'm always considering what if I need to sell it plus the magical ease of tune-ability I keep hearing about with shocks off the frame / cage vs. cantilever. I'm recently married and not going on bonzai adventures by myself is making me rethink a lot.
