alright buying a 6 inch pro comp stage 1 lift here in a few weeks. question is anyone get this lift and leave stock front shocks on with the lift. if you did tell me how it rode and if it could very easily tear up shit. if you changed what shocks did you get, price and does it help alot on the ride and wear of the truck
    ?

With the stock shocks it rides like stock. When you install C/O's the ride becomes a little stiffer.
The stock shocks with the spacer IMHO isn't tall enough for 35" tires. You want to get the C/O's so you can tweak the ride height, it also allows you to get rid of the Taco lean!:D

everyone i know personally has the stock front shocks on there and they say that it feels the same as stock. when i was originally thinking about getting this lift, i asked 4wheelparts if i could use the billy 5100s in place of the stock shocks. they said no. but now im looking on here and seeing people running ome, billys, and other shock/spring combos in place of the stock set up. so my suggestion is to dig around some of the build threads, find whose running what and pm them.

fwiw...when my next truck will have the procomp stage 1 with icon's co designed to work with the 6" lifts and a deaver pack out back and some longer rear shocks. maybe thats a route you could go with. stage 1..save up get the icons..then the rears..do it all over time.

4Wheelparts guys don't know our trucks in depth. And the guys behind the counter selling the parts knows even less! Anything they quote, most likely is hear say.

lol thats what im going for i think from all the reviews ive read it seems like the icon would be better than getting the stage 2 pro comp they say the icons are really nice but i just dont want to spend $2400 all at once on the lift so ima do the stage 1 then save up money and do the icons
