Your only option now is to find a used kit to buy, and then buy a license to use it from Ovtune. Or wait for VF tune to come out and roll your own tune.

Put about 500 miles on 2.0 base 87 super fob. Good power, easy to spin the wheels, nice boost in power. Only down side was a hit in mpg. My freeway mpg took the biggest hit. I do 80 miles a day on the freeway, I don't really want to loose any mpg over stock.
Few days ago I flashed reg gas 2.0 base. I will say, I never really had a issue with my truck before, or so I thought. I think I was numb. 2.0 base is how the truck should of left the factory. Drives much smoother, my shifts are better. Feels like a small boost of power down low and a small boost in mpg.
Wish I had a switch that I could switch on the fly to superfob like how I had on my old diesel.

Yep. Download and tune if you already have the kit.

Just wanted to post a quick update

I played with the SFOB tune for a while and decided to go back to the base tune. Can't really quantify why, I just think the base tune fits my driving style and conditions better than the SFOB.

Thanks for the feedback.... I'm assuming both can be downloaded via the downloader application?

Yes they can. Had to re-download the base tune this morning my self for some reason. I must have done something silly along the way and deleted it o_O

Base tune (premium) is noticeably better than stock down low, but not as good as SFOB IMO.
I have to agree with others in that base is "better" than SFOB for daily driving. It's less annoying if that makes sense.. smoother.
One caveat, I've not tried SFOB regular with premium fuel, which some guys really like. That's next on my list.

I guess I'll stick with SFOBPrem as I find nothing annoying about it. Thanks, good input as usual.

I was hoping for a bit of a bump, but I seem to be holding steady with my 1.05 FOB MPGs. Still, I'm happy. For the next tank, I am going to try 92 to see if I can at least justify the $0.30 difference.

Will this tune work with the soon to be released Magnuson Supercharger? Or will I have to flash back to stock and sell my kit if I get the SC?

You should probably ask that in the FI thread? What I recall OVT saying is that the SC or any other FI will require a tune and that there is doubt that any SC company will be supplying an ECU tune, maybe just a piggyback? OVT has said that they will supply tunes for a cost, I believe, for other vendor FI systems.

I believe OVT has said that they look forward to seeing other FI systems and comparing the HP / TQ levels with an OV Tune?

and he also recently said he believes their SC kit will require fueling work, and most likely hardware upgrades to work right due to its performance requirements... and that he'll be interested to see their solutions.
