    Plasti-Dip'd some crap
I pulled my vents to plastidip them and found the most expert wiring job I have ever seen.

Yep those are 2 12v outlet adapters connected to the radio wiring harness with speaker wire. The thing that really burns my bacon is that the +12V was just a loop of wire tightly taped over the pin. Like they didn't even bother to properly halfass it.

Anywho I like how the plastidip looks. I like the texture of it. If I want to bother later down the line I might come back, strip it all and hit it with matte black spray paint.

Is this a direct swap? I found a set locally with 5 miles on them for a decent price.

    Thanks.

WTF? Reminds me of the aftermarket alarm I had installed in my Eclipse. The morons had attached the control unit to my shift linkage cable. Every shift moved it back and forth, till finally the wires started shorting. I finally pulled everything apart, found their stupidity, and moved everything to a spot under the dash. That was the last time I ever let anyone do my wiring. This was supposed to be a good and respected shop. Ha!
Actually speaker wire is a really good conductor of any voltage. It costs more, so you usually use the cheaper wire for power and ground. Just make sure the gauge is rated for the higher voltage.

Save your money on PD and save up for a proper wiring job! (unless you can do that yourself) That is a problem waiting to happen.

    Now that's funny!

wonder if you have any research data on this product? I ran the MSDS and noticed the following....it contains Diboron Trioxide...

Diboron trioxide is the anhydride form of boric acid. Because of its hygroscopic properties diboron trioxide reacts easily with water to form boric acid

Just my opinion but any good synthetic today really doesnt require any additive..I wud spend the 30 $ on a oil test at some point in the life of the oil to see what shape its in.

BTW NOT a oil expert but spent many years in utility plants

Yeah I am not too worried about the wire itself just the fact that they looped it around the connectors, taped it all up and said "Yeah that's perfect" before shoving it back in there. I wonder what other nonsense I will find as I dig deeper.

All that wiring went to an aftermarket XM radio that wasn't included when I bought the truck and is of no use to me. All that jank has been removed and I will come back with a soldering iron and heat shrink to do it up properly. It's shocking what people will see as a "good" solution to a problem.

I have one and have been very pleased with the increased throttle sensitivity. I drive on Sport mode and it "feels" as if the truck has more hp and helps it downshift quicker when you need it. Also makes driving 75mph+ so much better because you don't have to mash the pedal so far to the floor.
