I think you're dog went further than you! Probably not surprising with a GSP (at least that what he/she looks to be).

I hit a record 6 mornings in a row today. When I have to go back to work in the office again, I'm gonna be hella bummed.

I'm essential as well, but since I have the ability to work from home (literally the only person in the whole mfg plant) I have been taking supreme advantage of it.

I'll have to look in to it. The last time I researched wheels was back when I had a 26er and Stans rims with Hope hubs was the business for good affordable wheels. haha
The Scout is 27.5 and I see the wheels you bought are 29, so what do you have?

What price range am I looking at for a solid set of wheels? (I know the answer to that is incredibly nuanced)

On that note, our mayor just extended our shelter in place for 3 more weeks, so that's more riding for me!

The first week was the worst. Now I am wrapping up week 4, and it is pretty sweet. Basically just had to settle into a routine again.

Fancy wheels are $1k plus, I’ve been eyeing the i9 enduro s 101 though which are $750. 90 points of engagement with 6 pawls and solid reviews.

Or if you dont mind your rims, you could just rehub them for 650ish from Proj321 or I9.

Ah yea my other set is 29 as well so they won't work for your Scout.

Honestly you can get a solid set of wheels for under $500 pretty easily. If you want something blingy, deals are out there you just have to watch for them.

The set I'll be selling is just some basic Bontrager Line Comp wheels. I wanna say they were around $350 new, and for another $25 you can get similar performance numbers to I9 Torch hubs. Obviously the build quality of the rim and hubs are not on par with I9, but they have held up perfectly well for me. Still perfectly true and fell the same as they did when new.

Ive been considering them if I build a new bike. I’m so torn on a complete bike and building my own...

now for my stache I might go with rehub, I love my wheel setup with white industries hubs and Easton arc 45 rims on that bike but I wouldn’t mind more POE.

I run those same wheels on my hardtail and I've been real happy with them. That is my commuter/make local trails more interesting bike so it gets abused. I tacoed the front wheel once, took it to the local Trek store, they replaced it for free, even without proof of purchase.

That’s what I’m leaning towards, I just need to decide what bike I want haha. There are so many options

I was honesty a little skeptical of them, but they’ve been killer on my trail bike. And the warranty is great insurance. The spring/pawl upgrade kit is so worth the $25 if you haven’t done it.

A month or so ago I demoed an SB130 and a V4 Tallboy. Both were $5k+ builds. The wheelsets on both drove me bonkers with the lack of engagement. I would take the Bontragers over either wheelset.

All that to say, you don’t have to spend a fortune to get a solid wheelset and pretty respectable performance numbers.
