I'm also running canti. 2.5x10in triples. Shop that built mine said I can probably run a 3.5in shock no problem if dampening that mechanical multiplier becomes a problem.

    Also biggershocks mean more tubes:D

Still totally worth having all my bed though. Still kind of a regular truck

My problem is the damn spare tire takes up the whole bed lol. Without the tire the DMZ cage is minimally invasive. But I think I figured out an arrangement for bigger camping trips that works so I can fit everything.

Thinking about building a platform to sleep on at a height that covers the spare since mine will have to be in my bed. I plan on getting a high top fiberglass shell once I come across one and a soft topper for when I'm just going to beat on it a little more without full camping gear.

I'm trying to get a good tire gate so I can get the spare out of the bed and make some room back.

Problem I had with my old setup was vibrations with that heavy of a tire up high. It actually started to tear the bed apart near the tail lights. A better design that ties more into the frame somehow would be better, but I also ran into issues of dragging it a few times dropping off ledges while crawling.

When I have the time and money to work on fun related projects I think I will build a platform above the tire that can strap down all my gear to and hinges up to give access to tools and the tire itself. But at that point I may just ditch the bed entirely so I can drop everything down a little lower in between the frame

I was thinking of doing the same thing with compartments on the sides of the tire(s) - gonna plan on 2 spares when way out in the sticks, but one when within reasonable distance of major cities.

That's the one thing I'm worried about, I'm going to tie it into the bed cage to help.

Catching a ledge is a concern, I'm not sure how I'll address that.

The only time I don't have an urge to chop the truck up is when it's on jackstands being chopped up. Then: fuck that noise, let's go wheeling.

Yeah apparently I’m the same way. A few weeks ago I was just standing near the front of the truck and the wife asked if I was thinking about making a new front bumper. Which I wasn’t until she mentioned it.

Current needs are to fix my shackle hangers and fix/ redo some skid plates. Then build the wife a front bumper for her 4Runner before I do more “wants” to the truck.

Ha, my wife was asking a few weeks ago when I'd have mine back on the road: 20 hours or so if I do it quickly, August if I do it right.

Then I got cleared hot to buy the parts and do it right, but keep the option to do it quickly if The 'Rona gets bad.

So now I'm waiting on new Dirt King spec Kings and designing new spindles.

Completely agree. I use my truck as a 'truck' all the time. Dump runs, camping gear, wood for home projects, bed space is invaluable. One of the main reasons I haven't switched to 35's is because I don't want to have a swing out or store it in the bed. When I had my SUA install done, I had Solo Motorsports move the factory spare tire winch contraption moved so my 33" spare wouldn't touch the rear pumpkin.

I drag the rear tire on some steep ascents and drop-offs but for the most part it is a non issue.

Does anyone know for certain if the TC extended axles shafts for the +3.5 kit work with the Camburg +3.5 kit? I know they are both 3.5, but I have a feeling they are a different length.

That is true. But with a custom layout I can do specific dd tubes to make it a little easier compared to party mode.

I'm filling the bed around the tire, then just pulling everything out when at camp, and sleeping air mattress / softopper.
