    Ok.

    "Hi Jeff,

Thank you again for the interest and the order, much appreciated!

As you can see, per the order notes attached to your order details
below, we didn't seem to have an order note attached with your order to
indicate color. We had a very limited number of pieces produced for
this group buy batch, we do not have any extra pieces and unfortunately
will not be able to exchange your piece for a different piece. We
apologize for the mix up / confusion regarding the color of your pulley.
We sincerely hope it doesn't pose a major problem for you.

Side note, it does look like you used an extra promo code and received
an extra discount on your pulley. This had absolutely nothing to do
with the color you received, but hopefully the extra discount makes it a
little easier for you to deal with a red pulley instead of black.

Many thanks again for your continued help and support of our brand and
products, we really do appreciate it. Best of luck with all your
    projects!"

So I forwarded them the email chain I have from a few months ago where I specifically asked for Black, they responded and said I was marked down for black and then pointed out I had used the promo code incorrectly but it was ok lol.

    Spray paint it is lol

TBH I'm not terrible upset. I still got a piece from a super limited run. I'm happy. Now it's gonna sit on a shelf for two years before I finally get around to installing them.

It is upsetting I agree, but that is one way to see the silver lining to it for sure. I didn't even realize these were limited production runs until you mentioned it.

Spray paint will hold up just fine and won't fade as ugly as the anodized stuff does eventually. Just make sure you hit it with some 120-180 grit prior to blasting it with some paint.

Sorry to hear you had issues. Ugh. That's annoying.

Email them again. You need to have your issue fixed, and quickly.

It sure should. It was designed as a full OE replacement unit using the dimensions of the original OE unit from Magnuson so I don't see why it wouldn't at all.

Dude. Never ask me for torque specs. You know my username and torque specs do not exist in the same sentence.

I use impact tools, common sense (which is really just a feel of hand), and the universal torque spec of guttentite on everything exterior to the internals.

The last time I used torque specs on something I cracked an oil pan mounting surface on a really difficult vehicle to do one at that, so never again.

I did not pull the radiator though.

this was partly a rhetorical question. i know you dont believe in tq specs. im getting antsy about getting my pulleys in. just nervous trying to tackle it myself.

It's not that I don't believe in them, I do, I just believe that there is a place for them and on the exterior of the engine (minus maybe the wheels tq spc because, you know, wheel bearings and crap) there is really no place for them unless you are an amateur and have never turned a wrench a day in your life (which is who I believe they were created for) lol. Not calling anyone an amateur or trying to insult them...

I don't know. It's just my personal opinion.. take my opinion with a grain of salt you know what I'm saying?

Why are you nervous? It'll be okay Jesse, besides, you got me on speed dial if you fuck up anyways. :D

ive just broke many bolts by overtightening in past years. after a quick look i see that bolt on the crank needs to be busted loose to even get the s/c drive pulley off. damn, not equipped for that.:bananadead:

You are eating your Wheaties clearly. Put a little less ugga ugga on those bolts and I promise you they'll be fine. ;)
