I'll be the first one in line for that.

Yeah, I worry I'm going to break the thing everytime I open it.

I had the same stress with my mint 2015 Flippac so I sold it and waited for the Vagabond Drifter I now have.

    Sorry for the late response:

The seat belt mount location is a little janky.
The Wedge Engineering mount has a tab welded on the mounting plates.
It does NOT move or adjust.
The Toyota seatbelt inboard mount pivots a minor amount.
I am 5'7" so I fit perfect and have to adjust nothing forward/backward.
I only have to adjust the vertical angle when pavement princessing or wheelin'

You'll find plenty of videos of them on Cliffhanger and other nasty trails (not that I've been just sitting in my apartment watching videos of trails or anything.....) but I wouldn't go desert racing :) Mine has a brand new waterproof canvas tent from Canvas Replacements in Wisconsin, a bajillion times nicer and more durable than the original tents if anyone was wondering.

No matter what, camping in any of the options out today and some from the past is a pretty deluxe experience.

If you still have it in a few months (after my house purchase settles down), I'll pick it up from you. I doubt you'll still have it by then though. I've wanted a nest for the longest time. Couldn't find a decent one for sale when I was looking (for almost a year) so I ended up going the RTT route. I like the nest idea much more than the RTT.

Anyone know what this plug is for? It's behind the driver side kick panel. There's no female plug for it, figure it's for an option I don't have, just curious.

;) never say never - it's a universe of infinite possibility or something like that, so in some ways, it SHOULD happen
Yes, thank you for making those. As a super obsessed 1st gen owner who really misses being way out there right now (and who lived an hour and a half from Moab until recently) those videos and the trip report were awesome to stumble on. Cheers.

Shhhh.... need more time to get the design down. Turns out I am still employed during this.

The Wildernest is water proof. I did have to retreat mine 2 years ago but there's no need for a rain fly. The wind flapping is a bit annoying though. I like the fact that it is so simple. You can easily make replacement parts and I'm going to try and incorporate that into my creation.

It's the RS3200 Keyless Entry // Toyota OEM alarm system. The computer for this plugs into that plug you pictured.

A 1st gen locked front and rear on 33s-35s is a lot more capable that most seem to think.

Eh, their probably pretty close. They both have their challenges. I'd keep it on your list though. Dropping White Knuckle is an experience for sure!

That's it! I've been wondering but never took the time to search until today, but couldn't find anything in the wiring fsm. If only the idiot who installed the aftermarket alarm would've gone with a factory unit. There's a crap ton of T taps everywhere.

i dont think it looks like it squats at all, but would you recommend dakar+AAL or would you have changed leaf packs given all that much weight? i'd hope to run a full size spare under + flippac + camping gear but i still feel like its not THAT much weight
