Wish I had seen this yesterday. Made other plans to visit a local small business and spend some money eating and drinking with a few friends. Weather is going to make a nice turn for next weekend, let's get a trail run going if anyone else is free?

Not this morning, I was in my little Lexus. You probably saw the other 80 series hiding around here, big orange beast with 37s. I have my roof top tent on right now, makes me easier to pick out.

 

Has anyone in the area with a 3rd gen gone to a dealer for the transmission flash tsb? Which dealership didn't spin you in circles before deciding to do it or not to do it?

 

I haven't for obvious reasons, but the parts dude at Larry H. Miller is totally chill and will listen and convince a service writer if need be.

 

Watch out for Autonation. I was in for a 30k service Last Tues and opted out of the easy DIY things and left them 4 items to do. their Computers were having issues so when he finally printed out the service request I just signed it. When I came back to pick it up they charged me $25 for a Chlorox “AC Heat system sanitization”. Not happy and made a stink. They knocked off $10 bucks so I got a $15 education and they lost a customer. They said I signed the service work order which I did but they slipped in the bogus item. They also had the original paperwork where I had listed what to do. Bunch of dinks. My wife has had issues with Autonation VW service. Be aware.

 

I've never really had problems with them the couple times I've been there. Only one time when the mechanic was supposed to fix my door and ended up working on the wrong one coz the advisor didn't specify. I had to wait for them to redo it all. Might be a sign not to go there for any maintenance. I have a recall. Maybe I'll ask them to do it during that time.

Been itching to take the Tacoma out on some back roads. Are there any options for the Spokane valley? I'm assuming the 7 mile ORV park is closed with WA state parks closed for the time being.

 

I know some places out in cheney, but 7 mile is closed, not even a great idea to roll by

 

As far as I know everything is closed. Don't know any back roads in the Valley. I really want to take my truck out too.

 

I could drive out to Cheney if it means I can get out of the house! A gravel road around here would do me good lol

 

I have been itching to get out as well. Been settling for driving my 1/24 crawler in my yard and on courses I am making in my home office.

 

Update: I went to Autonation with an appointment saying my shifting is bad and they got me in for diag under warranty. They did the trans update tsb and the truck drives much better. I haven't used ECT or S mode since then. I was really considering getting ovtune but I'll hold off on that.
