@uurx I'll tell you what I'd never ride in the city again. Both times I rode to ny both times I've bent a rim. Roads are horrendous out there

I used to ride with this kid his father owned several pizzerias out there. So one night we took a trip out to Brooklyn I'm shocked I made it home bent my front rim so bad. I felt it in my teeth.

Def can relate to this. Wife and I took a 2 AM summer ride through NYC back in the day and hit a pot hole that shook my brain. Thankfully no bent rim though.

You bought the perfect starter bike. Actually doing it the right way instead of hopping on a liter bike. Enjoy that little bike for all it’s worth! Then when the time comes for a newer faster bike sell it for the same price or more than you paid for it.

One of these days I'm going to do a web series, "Tales From Behind the Rental Counter".

When I worked at Daytona H-D a guy came strolling in and paid cash for a Screamin' Eagle Ultra Classic as his first bike. He was a little shaky when he left, but seemed to do okay. A few days later he came in to have a bunch of accessories installed (go figure). He came flying in and whipped into a parking spot across from the rental office, grabbing a handful of front brake. He legit high sided pulling into a parking space. Straight up ass over tea kettle. Fairing, tank, saddlebag, trunk, fenders, lowers, pipes, bars, etc. all trashed. One of the service writers told me the repair estimate was north of $14k.

Moral of the story - don't ride beyond your skill level, remember the basics, and money doesn't buy smarts.

:rofl:Some people are just plain stupid. If I hadn’t owned dirt bikes and ridden plenty before, I would most definitely not have bought new. But I’m mostly comfortable on the bike now and gaining more and more comfortability the more I ride. I still really don’t even lane split unless I have a big gap. One day.

Took it for a spin today. Crazy seeing the airport parking lot empty.
