I am not a doctor and know nothing about this. I just find it odd that we seem to be listening to Bill Gates, but not a guy like the one in the article I linked. It is like a parallel universe we’re living in to me.

Start watching those vids. That's where I get all my info on this now because it is objective and scientific from the people working to stop it. They have a few about flattening the curve that have some good visualizations and what are some other strategies society can take like (shocker) getting into shape, eating right and sleeping enough so your body's ready to kick this things ass if you get exposed.

I'm a nerd and like learning about stuff like this so I get into it. Not a doctor either. I like to fight the bias of others by educating myself and forming my own conclusions. I mean hell I flipped flopped on this issue like 3 times based on what I have learned.

I subbed to it in YouTube. I’ll watch when I work out. I am not trying to ruffle anyone’s feathers with my posts about this, I am just saying to get both sides of every story. We are getting one side from the media, and that’s never good.

I have flopped a couple times on the virus as well. And there's no issue or shame or problem with that, though many will tell you there is.
As we get new info and data and testing and as we get more eyes on the tests and results and hear more professionals (not politicians:puke:) discuss it and share their thoughts and experiences, you really can get a good grasp on what's going on without following your choice of either party line spin garbage on it

The true mark of intelligence is the ability to change ones stance based off the information they take in. People who criticize others for changing their stance on something based off data they got at a later date, especially during an event like this, just shows how stupid they infact are.

It's part BS and part not knowing the virus well enough yet. Like I said upthread, it will be years before we get enough accurate statistical modeling of what actual happened during this outbreak.

Oh I’ll admit, it is much worse than I initially thought. And getting worse, it’s definitely scary. I’m still not on board with the end of the world that some seem to expect. I see it being gone very soon.

I was always on board with shutting things down so hospitals wouldn’t get overwhelmed and cause more deaths. I think it has worked, California seemed to avoid major cases by acting early. I imagine New York would be in even worse shape had everyone gone about daily life. But in hindsight, I think much of the less populated areas could have gone with fewer restrictions, maybe.. we will never know I guess, and I expect financial recovery so it seems it will all work out, far better than the worse could have been, and probably not as well as it could have been. Hopefully whatever the data and research shows when it’s all said and done will provide a better blueprint for the next time we have a similar situation.

I was part joking but also part serious that it will be an interesting read once all the docs on this are dumped into wiki leaks.

I guess overdoing it will end up fine. It was never a logical option to not do it that way. I just hope we don’t over-overdo it. We should be able to get going normal again soon, at least in certain areas (less densely populated for example).

Looks like that’s the plan. I hope so. Plenty of places that don’t have the density for it to become a crisis. Larger cities probably need more time, mass transit, subways, etc. can make it more difficult.

We will probably all have self testing stations connected to our computers in 10 years to instantly test whatever bodily fluids are required for the disease of the times. :annoyed:

I see it being unnecessarily prolonged due to all the BS we're forced in to in a misguided, futile attempt to stop this latest flu strain.
This damage to the economy and the injection of printed money is orchestrated. Some day we may know to what end.

If they showed on TV constantly refrigerator trucks and body bags of the 80,000 flu deaths 2 years ago, it would have sparked the same fear in people (more fear actually). They’re using this as a means to some end. Very political (anyone can see that).

The OP of the thread, ThunderOne, knows a lot about natural gas. I’d imagine he’ll be back from his 30 day vacation soon.

Bunch of stuff down in afterhours... TRTX and GPMT both below open if I'm reading this right. TRTX 4.95/5.02 bid/ask and 4.46/4.55 GPMT just now. NCLH 11.71/11.73 from a 13.11 close. BA 146.73/146.90 from a 151.84 close.

Was there post-4pm news? Haven't been around.
