First time poster long time reader here! Just scored this frame for 1100, came with Asian locking hubs, calipers etc.

Any suggestions or links to frame swap threads?

I want to put a really nice suspension under it with about 3” lift, any suggestions there are much appreciated.

I think I’ll document the work here. Also I’m in NC, anyone interested in helping me with this (I’ll pay you of course)!

Is that a Toyota pick up frame or a Tacoma frame?

Pretty good score for 1100. I’d love to help, but sadly I’m a little bit further than a short drive away.

if you need info ask, I should be able to pull up instructions that may help you

A long as it has the same engine it’s should be a simple swap aside from the usual frozen bolt out alignment cam

Thanks. It’s supposedly off of a 98, but I’m willing to bet it was a replacement frame from the recall. It’s super clean for a 22yr old frame.

What’s wrong with the original frame? Holes?

my truck was hit by an unlicensed teen in a Pontiac right on the front hub, so it currently goes down the road crooked! Plus yeah, my frame is pretty darn rusted

I could have repaired the rust sections if it wasn’t for the being warped. That’s a double whammy! Starting fresh.

Perfect reason for a swap, I can get the documents for the 01 frame swap if you want it as a guide. May not be 100% the same as the 98. But should put you in the right direction

Thanks I’m sure it would be helpful, but don’t put yourself out of it’s a pain. I was thinking of this method.

Nice score. You gonna clean it up a bit or do a complete haulover i.e. sand, prime, POR.
