Albert's Pine Valley Run w/ Matt & Ron as co-pilot on Sat. 10/23

So Ron and I wanted to hit up Pine Valley with a small group of guys to make it enjoyable assuming that the trail wasn't washed out and muddy beyond approach. Of everyone we contacted, Matt was down to join us and off we went. We met up with him just after 12pm on a Saturday afternoon. The trail was perfect. The conditions were dry with the occasional mud puddle.

That might be true, but I'm the one waiting for mud. He got the best of both worlds... a trail run and no truck to clean.

 

Funny thing that he called me to wheel. I figured he would be driving. I would have gone if I didn't have my Mud Caves trail run. I'll go the next time Ron makes the trip...in his truck.

 

Haha. That might be a while. Funnier thing... we were gonna hit up the Otay Truck trail but head East instead of South towards Otay Mesa. PV is more fun anyways.

 

Let's do the easy part of CC. If you think PV is fun, CC is much better. Or the new trail that Doug and Matt found, that is my next run I hope.

 

I might be down. I have no interest in doing that part of CC that's going to destroy my truck. As far as the other section, as long as its comparable to PV I will show interest.

 

Dude Jake,s gone through the easy part of PV. The first time Derek took us there we took the easy part. Not as rocky as PV.

Yeah I saw that video...that was my truck when I first got it with like 1k miles and I was out at Ocotillo Well with you guys. Fun times. I want to hit up that area more often.

Haha Guys... ok there might be a slight truth to that.

But, as some of you know, I work the graveyard shift starting at 130am or 230 am depending on the day. To top that off, I usually only sleep 4hrs a day. Given all that, It is usually hard for me to drive long distances or continously right after work.

Thank You Albert for literally picking me up at work to be able to join this run. If you guys ever get the chance to be a co-pilot during a trail run, jump on it. It's a different experience. It's just as good a being a passenger on an amusement ride.

Great Pics and video Albert & Matt. I'm kind of sad and jealous my truck wasn't in any of them. I'm still stoked I got to go though. I had a blast when I wasn't falling asleep.

Ron i'm just giving you shit. Just want you to come out and play with your truck that you invested so much into. You need to make it out to the desert. Check out the trip we had on the same day.

LOL.... I know Tri. Nothing taken personally. I'm sure I will be able to make it out to the desert sometime. I have no plans on getting rid of my truck anytime soon. In fact, out of all the cars that I have, I drive the Tacoma the most. In a year and two months I have already put 34,000 miles on her. BTW, the trip ya had looks like you had a blast too...awesome.
