Try to drive in reverse and apply the brakes.

Since you were offroading, you could have a rock/debris stuck in there.

i only have 10k on my truck, never have taken it off road and when i apply the brakes when driving real slow they make a humming/screeching noise. ive talked to other people about it and they have the same issue. but nobody has an answer for it.

My '09 developed some brake squeal recently. I don't think the factory pads like dust much. Its very minor for me right now (only audible with the windows down when braking from 5mph to 0 slowly), I'm gonna keep an eye on it.

Seems like this is more common on the newer trucks.

Was it just noise or was there reduced power?

I have an 09 and I just noticed in the last week that it also makes the slight screeching noise when slowing down from 5-0mph. Only really notice it when going through a drive-thru.

Mine was only noise from what I could tell but it was very loud at times. I also have heard the "faint scraping" sound in a drive thru but this was differant
