Thinking of your next truck?

My 2010 has 114k on it and i put a Sony Touch screen with apple carplay i put heated seats .That is about enough tech i want in my truck. We also own a 2019 rav4 .and i hate driving it with all the stupid sensors and under powered 4cyl . Any time we go out I usually grab my truck keys.Our styling on our trucks still look good after 10-15 years later. I don’t see much hope in the 4th gens

 

I've only got 75k or so on my current rig. I'd like to hang on to it for another 5 years or so, then pickup some sort of hybrid as a daily.

 

My 2015 has 47,000 mi, added heated leather seats, heated signal mirrors, rear slider window mod, anytime front rear camara. steering wheel wrap, ovtune 4.0 tune..No need for 3rd Gen,,,Probably keep it forever or give to grandson some day...

 

Indeed, the reason I got the 19 4Runner ... last m.y. before safety bs and more tech minus cd . 4.0 and styling is superb and proven quality/reliable.Keeper !!!

 

86K on an '06. Why switch now? When the first gens are the rare commodity, the 2nd gen will be the chosen one.

 

I did a few months ago, looking at her nice and clean after another winter...don’t plan on getting rid of it anytime soon.

 

My son starts driving in 5 years. He may get my 15. I’m curious what the new Tundras will be like. Hopefully the twin turbo V6 hybrid holds true.

 

I like my 2nd gen taco and if I was to "upgrade (so to speak)" I would buy a T4R again.
Very interested in the 4th gen tho, prob will wait and see as I am in no rush.

Something tells me the tacoma will be offered as a hybrid by 2024-2025ish

 

I will keep the 2nd gen 4x4 sport. Trucks have gotten stupidly expensive, and with the traditional lazyness on toyota always bringing the same old tired tech, always unrefined and clunky, i think 4th gen would be a deception. Just like 3rd gen, its just more of the same, a not refined engine and the lego.interior they have beem keeping, while retaining.as.much.pieces as possible without spending anything more on really surpass other makers.

Is this even possible.

If married, getting married would be the last thing I'd want to do. Unless it was a polygamist marriage and there was no plan to leave the current wife.

This I can understand.

Sometimes you see a nice truck on the road, and you say to yourself I'd like to drive that, but you still really like the truck you have, and would never think to get rid of that truck.

 

Thing about a hybrid...it goes beyond fuel efficiency. It's a good way to make easy torque...and lots of it. Tundra is going hybrid...at least as an option with a target of 600+ lbs ft of torque. I can see the Taco eventually having some mild version of that. I also expect a turbo 4 at some point too. Toyota already has one floating around in the Lexus division.

 

I'm hoping for at least some turbo. I have a 3rd gen now and it's my first new truck since 04 and liking the body style as is.
