Now that I think about it, given how pricey tall cat scratchers/sitters are I'm not all that surprised, PetSmart sells those for a premium. We can usually find good deals on them at places like HomeGoods though

 

That’s why I’ll be building them. Almost like food trays with half lap joints. Bottom will slide in from the top, screws from the back will go into the studs. Also if Otis jumps too far or slides, he has a lip.

 

I did this in a spare room. Cost like 20 bucks

Definitely always build yourself for animals. Prices are insane on all pet products. I’ll save enough to build the retaining wall in my back yard I want.
