Well, it's the New England BS Thread, and the flatlanders outnumber us significantly, so we've got to be tolerant. :notsure:

The plows do tend to smooth out the ride. Between the plow and the sandbag ballast that I run in mine it's around an extra 1700lbs, so it does calm the smaller bumps quite a bit.

Serious question, have you looked at a raptor for that? Or do you need the tow/haul capabilities?

Bought my Tacoma and I am not looking back. :)

I have to park in a small parking facility and my F-150 was too big for some corners. The Tacoma fits great.

With a plow on it, I bet mine would ride like a dream. The rear seems to stay pretty well in line, the front is stiff!
Well... to be fair, they do at least look nice.
Have you seen the new 250/350 Tremor?? Rumored to start coming with an optional winch also.

ah, thought you were in an HD. Nice. I'm not in the same boat, I'm on roads 99% of the time and have a normal parking lot. I also bought my tacoma and am happy with it.

I'd keep my eye out for the ranger raptor too :p That, or a hybrid taco could get me out of my 2020 before it reaches 250k miles.

I have seen the tremor. They look good but same as the power wagon, trade off with off road and tow/haul. I've seen raptors bombing down rough roads smooth as a bentley. They can't tow/haul for shit, but the desert suspension makes them awesome on logging roads.

The raptor suspension isn't all that special. Longer upper and lower control arms, fox shocks, and a block to lift the rear with soft springs and fox shocks. You could easily do the same with a taco sans longer control arms (making it mid-travel vs long travel front).

Oh for sure. But the raptor is also wide and heavier. The mid sizes will always have a bouncy rear end since they're light. You could definitely do a tacoma (I'd just get the SR if I'm ripping into the suspension anyway) + 4k in suspension and have a similar ride and performance for half the cost too.

You can easily (although not necessarily cheaply) make the Taco's suspension superior to the stock Raptor, but you'll never make a Taco get up and go like the Raptor. Those things have some snot.

If I was building a truck for the logging roads, I'd be fine with the tacoma power :D :D

The raptors are great in the desert, and the suspension is good on logging roads but the power on the logging roads will send you straight when you need to go left if you know what I mean :p

A lot of it depends on the dealer, too. I went out and got pre-approved at 3.5% before my last purchase. The dealer's finance department came out and said that they could do 4.25% and I told them to keep their financing because I was already approved at 3.5% through my local credit union. Lo and behold, they 'reran' my numbers and suddenly they could do 2.75%
So some dealers will lowball you (highball?) on the interest rate

What's up with this model Jeep? I've seen like 5 dead on the side of the road this week. Is this one of those models designed to fail at a certain age/mileage?

Finance managers work on commission also. The more money they make the dealership the more they put in their pocket.

    :notsure:
That vintage Grand Cherokee are all going to be like 15 years old and around 200k if they're averaging 15k a year. Not sure about your recent spike, but they sold a ton of them and it stands to reason that they'd be breaking down at this point.

Yep, and if there's not a competitor right to hand they'll take as much as they can get away with.

Same thing happened to me. I had a lower rate going in and they were able to match it. They were 3% higher than my rate iniitally though. They tried to get me to sign up for their rate and just refinance it
