    Never enough
I've debated selling it to get something slightly bigger and every time I do I know I'd regret it. Just gonna have to keep her and add to the collection haha. It's a ridiculously fun low maintenance bike.

Of course! I'm getting some stainless steel pieces plasma cut today to start joining the two pieces together and ordered steel to build a bumper. I'm going to create a thread once it's all done and will dump a bunch of pics there.

The most interesting part will be the sheet metal work. Joining the composite together and building a bumper will be easy.

I just put a Kenwood in, that space is a PIA to work with, but I did bundle everything after the wire work, mostly just plug and play.....and yupper it is amazing what some folks consider ok...and speaker wire is just that speaker wire.......

Hahaha. I'm a bodyman and I was just thinking the opposite. To me the metal work would be cake. How are you going to join the composite bed together? Here's a word of advice: save the section of bed that you cut out. Cut a strip 4-6" wide the full width of the bed and use it to bridge the seam on the underside. Sand the surfaces to be joined, then use 3M panel bonding adhesive (#08115, I think is the part number) to bond it together. Just butt-jointing the seam with fiberglass won't be strong enough.

I'm having a bunch of stainless steel washers cut out and will rivet the fuck outta it. Washers on the underside and wide head rivets up top. The larger panels will go on the side. I'm using black rivets, will have a bet mat in, and will paint the brackets on the side of the bed. It won't be too horribly obvious.

Similar to this but will look much nicer. I didn’t want to attempt to bond it together with some sort of adhesive or filler.

Ok, I thought you'd want it less obvious. You're going to redrill the frame and still use the rear bed bolt right unlike that photo?

I would like to. I'm going to look at that later today and see where those holes line up on the frame. With the bed mat in and everything on the sides black, it shouldn't be too obvious.

I'm not talking about the looks of the bolt missing. The next bed bolt forward is only thru the composite bed. You need the rear one bolted down because it goes thru the steel rear sill crossmember. Otherwise the weight of the whole bobbed rear portion + tailgate will be hanging by just those rivets and welded bedsides. With all the vibrations during driving, your rivet holes will eventually crack. So will your body filler in the bedsides.

Yeah I know. I'm saying that if the hole is resting on a spot of the frame where I can't get a nut on the other end of the bolt, it won't be an easy task.

edit: plus the frame tapers inward the further back you go. That will throw off the hole too.

    Looks great!
I'm looking at a Kenwood DNX series radio. They have an idatalink module that connects to OBD II and also allows for steering wheel controls (once I get around to that mod). It will be nice to have MPG displayed on my old 2nd gen.

    Bunch of Basic Taco mods.
265/75/16 Cooper AT3’s on stock wheels and no lift. Undecided if I’ll lift it at all.

Also installed Diode Dynamics SS3 yellow Sports. That’s a big no duh addition for anybody that legit uses their fogs for something other than ornaments.
