Yes they will work. If you read the discription, you will see it has seperate leads for high and low. This means you will only use one or the other. Off and the opposite will both be off :D

Has anyone thought of pulling the plastic parts of the seat off and spraying them black?

IMO, probably not a great idea. Even a good quality enamel is likely to rub off on anything that gets a good amount of contact. I've just never seen any paint that will bond well enough to plastic.

    Got mine today. :woot:

I think I'll reuse the switches that came with mine. Here's a view of the cigarette lighter plug taken apart, and a closeup of the switch.
    woplugend.jpg

    woswitch.jpg
This switch is small and I couldn't get my camera to focus any closer. There are actually 4 connections on this switch in total. The one on the far right goes to your power via the fuse in the lighter plug. The middle one goes into the hot leading to the heater. There is a small resistor between the top left connector and the middle connector. The bottom left connector has the ground from the heater cable going to it, then from there to the ground on the lighter plug.

So this switch is in the hot line, not the ground.

Outstanding photo!!! My question is, is the resistor b/w the hot and the ground?

Yup and it looks like it's used as a current limiter for when the device is switched on.

K, now correct me if I am wrong, but I can just put that resistor on the switch that I have purchased b/w the same two prongs?

Is that black box just a basic switch and nothing else? If that's the case then I'd guess sure...just make sure your switch operates the same way.

It is acting as a current limiter, but it's just for the led in the switch. There are 4 posts on that switch. what looks like just 1 on the left is actually 2. The one closer to the camera connects to the led. The resistor goes from the red center post to the top left led post. (top relative to the pictures, not the drawing below.) Connection between the led and the ground post is inside the switch, through the actual led.

The ground post is separate and below the post where the resistor connects.

So, the resistor just keeps you from melting the led in the switch. :) The led is actually wired in parallel to the heater after the point in the circuit where the switch breaks the circuit.

I know this is a crappy drawing, but maybe it will help.
    switch diagram.jpg
The rectangle in the middle is the switch. The gray parts in the rectangle are the connectors on the switch. Gray blob on the left is the wire bundle that goes to the heater. The yellow piece is the resistor.

Ohh the bottom of the resistor looked like was tied to ground. I haven't really looked at the previous posts but is that how the seat heaters come from WO...plug in to the cig lighter? Does it come with a knob to adjust the heat or is it just on/off?
