Has anyone upped their 401k contribution? My company quit their 5% match. I’m putting in 10% by myself though.

I’m actually thinking about booking a cruise with Norwegian as soon as they’ll let us sail. First ones on with my whole family. Gotta give them some income haha. My friend is doing the same, but already has his booked. They’ll probably be ridiculously cheap!

 

I went from 8 to 10. Still covering match (they match half up to 4%, plus a secondary contribution as well, regardless of matching).

 

Hindsight is always 20/20 I guess. At the time it was below 100 I was 95% sure my wife was going to get laid off so sidelined any buying. Now that can has been kicked down the road 6months so maybe I'll have another chance to buy in before the end of this madness.

 

I hope you’re right. My weekends now consist of walking around the only stores that are open (home improvement stores), and drinking a few beers at home. This shit is getting old.

Yeah I’m doing some cheap mods to my Taco, fixing the wife’s grill on her car, and soon to be doing some electrical changes to the shop. I’ll be adding another light switch close to my work bench and adding a light switch to turn the air compressor on in my shop so I don’t have to reach up and plug it in( Plug in for it is above the garage door when the garage door is open because the compressor is in the shop attic).

 

Are your courses open? Holy shit, I guess you are always social distancing on a golf course. I may have to look into that.

 

They’ve spread out the groups a bit so you don’t find yourself at the same hole with another group

Spice it up and start drinking at the home improvement stores. There’s plenty of toilets

 

Sometimes I do on the way (when my girlfriend is driving of course).

 

This is purely anecdotal, but last week and earlier this week, the highway has been all but deserted on my way to work.
Yesterday and today, there was a marked increase in traffic. I don't know if people have just decided, screw staying home, or what but it really is a noticeable difference.

 

Where in Colorado are you (if you want to answer)? I am up in Northern Colorado, and don't know how Denver is lately.

 

Went for a MTB ride the other day, still hitting the trails with the dog, still going to the same grocery store (the budget one up the road, not the big stores like stop and shop, etc).

Trivia is not hosted at the bar (sad) and the dog park was closed (also sad).

I'm back to full time at work as of this week so other than my commute to/from, it doesn't feel very different.

Our courses have been closed for almost 4 weeks now. I live across the street from a county public course and it's killing me not to be able to play. I did get out in the boat 4 times this week though.

 

I commute down I-25 from Firestone to 120th.
