Maybe a tool box in the bed but if you have the xtra cab you could stuff it there

Tool box would work and would probably be the best place for it.

Right. Been doing that for years now in BMWs.

Just curious if anyone else has already done this.

It's less Tacoma and more mod
We have a new way around that now, it's called pitch the stock ECU and throttle body in the shit can where it belongs. Seriously though, if you wanna delete ETCS-i then that is what's required to have no engine or other lights. My IS300 has the ETCS-i, honestly it's easy enough to work with it cause the 2JZ has a responsive curve for the throttle. But you can manipulate the ETCS pedal sensor signal to make it more aggressive on dogs like the Tacoma and Runner. They still have a cable too for limp mode so if you wanted there's still a cable that works perfectly for a normal throttle body.

    Ive seriously considered it.

BUT. I have the 04 Auto transmission with no kickdown and 04 ABS. I would probably need a older trans. It’s just not worth it. Might as well wait until I pay the truck off and get something that has options for performance.

I have also considered a standalone but closes tuner is 2-3hours. Probably looking at least 2k before it’s all said and done.

Too bad OV won’t be able do anything for us. They’ve switched lanes and are now only offering tuning software. Don’t blame them just disappointed.

Just finished putting dual batteries in my bed, one in each front corner. Got rid of the one in stock location and put a power distribution block in.

Planning on doing this soon with dual batteries, but my plan is to put them both in a toolbox on the passenger side all the way up front. Stoked to see pics of your solution!

Here are some really crappy photos, the tie down method is temporary.

Too many trucks and mods to list.. check builds
Build a battery tray and put the battery behind the bedside. Little bit of a pain to get to, but I mean it would at least not limit bed space and make use of otherwise unused space.

Or just keep the battery where it is and get yourself a 300lb woman to sit on the passenger side.

Thanks Jason. They are some cheapos off Amazon, my batteries are a weird size (group 65), so they were the only ones I could find that fit the batteries and fit in the space in front of the wheel wells.

Dusted the engine bay because I and that freakin’ bored. Then l ran it up and down the expressway for 20 miles just to blow the dust off the rest of the truck.
