2003 Off Road Diff Oil?

Going to change my rear/front diff and transfer case oil. Think I need 75-90 for all 3. Only question is do I use the non slip oil? Most of the oil is synthetic 75-90 but I read somewhere that I needed to use 75-90NS (non slip). Is this correct?

Truck is also an automatic if that matters. Thanks!!!

 

Does it have limited slip? If so, than a

$30 75w-90 Synthetic Gear Lube - 1 Quart (Pack of 2)

75w-90 with friction modifier. Many oils will come with it, just be sure to check the labeling. If it’s an open diff, you can run any 75w-90 in their trouble-free. On my first gen I used Delo 75w-90 or Supertech every 30k with good results.

 

Got to admit, pretty ignorant with if it's a limited slip or open or not or whatever! If someone could advise to how to I can figure that out I would be appreciative.

 

TRD offroad with rear locker correct? If so, you’ve got an open rear diff.

Yes, it's a TRD offroad. Has the rear diff button by the steering wheel. Sorry, if I am clueless on this!

If it's your first time doing this, take the filler off first. Nothing worse than pulling the drain plug and the fill plug is siezed.

I ended up going 75-90 for the transfer and front. Found in the manual that it calls for 80-90 in the rear.

 

I'm sure 75-90 in the rear would be fine but you can never go wrong when following the manual. How did the fluid look/smell?

Haven’t done it yet. Oil change is due in a week or a few hundred miles and then I’ll just do them all then. Oily day!
