Sure does. Done did it myself. I jacked that mirror right up to the ceiling. Only thing is my crawl knob pokes down a bit in the mirror, and the reflected image is a little high.

that's good info thank you. I've just never done it before and was hesitant to start messing with it. More ruffled feathers in this thread than I meant for. I do appreciate the info though. Thank you.

They are really simply to replace, bet there are a ton of YouTube vids out there as well (mind you I never trust those). Also if your not comfortable doing it, any windshield repair shop will probably do it for a few bucks (or free if your wife takes it in).

I agree 100%. It'd be like the ultimate roller coaster ride. And they don't charge you anything extra for it.

After all, you're gonna' die from something anyway, so it might as well be something fun! :anonymous:

Good to see honest recognition from an '18 owner. :D

I mean, I’ve never driven a second gen but at least they didn’t have a car engine and didn’t require a tune to live with the throttle response or ADHD transmission!

It didn't fit my 2019 OR out-of-the-box because of the "tabs" at the bottom to attach a Ram holder.

I used a Dremel to take off the right side. Someday I'll put a sharpie to the exposed metal.

In my backseat picture, the mirror can still go a notch higher and directly hit the ceiling, which is where I usually keep it.

It's better than it was, but still feels in the way of my view.

Yes. I have pics in my build thread.

It is slightly harder to install as there is less room than the 2nd Gen. I told them that they should update their listing.

Yet all that anyone wants to do is an LS swap in any build. Tacos, trucks, bouncers, etc. The whole car motor thing is BS.

Yeah. The tune sucked. It wasn't nearly as bad in the Camry or Sienna. It's a 2mb file that should have been fixed properly.

Unless I'm looking at your picture wrong, you don't have the windshield sensor unit my 2019 OR has. The fittings and the vertical height are good, it's the width of the Ram mount holes that are the problem.

I wish the sensor unit wasn't there. Seeing your windshield made me a little jealous. I need a break from thinking about my Tacoma.

Yes. This is the minimalist Taco, non-tech, non-premium, pre-TSS-P. It's a long term keeper.

It looks like if you trim off the RAM ears it will fit. Heck, maybe let the vendor know and they can send it to you ready to go?

I’m 100% on this day 1 I hated my mirror loved the truck. I have a sunroof and all the tech dodads so my mirror has minimal movement. I almost went with the rip it off drive without it scenario but it has useful features so I just continue to duck my head around it. Oh yea I’m only 5 11’ so it ain’t a big person problem. Wish I could get one about half the size that would big enough to be useful but not in the way.

These messages solved my issue for now. I'm hunting the right 2"-4" mirror but even on my drive to work this morning it's so much nicer seeing things off to the right and not feeling my neck and back from looking under it every 5 seconds. I have an 8"(losing auto dim and compass but I never use the compass) on the way but I think I will still want a smaller one. I appreciate all the responses. Thanks!
