Yeah that’s all it needs. The 4Runner sensors will also be way different, but that’s fine you can use the sensors on your A340E.

Also the 4Runner speed sensor may or may not be cable driven. If it’s an older cable driven transfer case, you need to buy a adapter from Low Range Off-road to convert the analog signal to a digital signal for your instrument cluster to read.

So if it came off of a tacoma all of the sensors would be the same, no matter if it's a v6 or 4 cylinder?

Like I said the transmissions are all identical. It's the bellhousing and TC that's different. You may need to swap your old sensors.

Got it, I don't mean to go in circles with these questions I just can't get myself to throw money at something unless I'm positive it will work haha thanks man.

If you find a transmission combo you think will work, go ahead and post some pics here and we can let you know if it works.

Try and find a mated transfer case and transmission already.

I did that spin test today. After doing it a few times I've determined that I have a 4.56 ratio.

You sure about that? What math did you do to determine that?

I still think it's 4.30 since you've got the same gear code as me.

I spun my tire 10 times, the drive shaft spun 22 and 3/4 times. I then multiplied that by 2 and divided by 10 which gave me 4.55 which is close enough to say it's 4.56. I did this multiple times to account for any errors.

Haha man good luck finding a 4.56 front. 4.56 rear was rare to begin with.

Might be easier to find a matched 4.30 set or just pay to regear a core front diff.

Yea I will probably have the front diff regeared, will now make my search a bit easier but a bit heavier on the wallet.

If it were up to me I'd pull the rear 3rd out to be 100% sure it's the right gear ratio. I do that for every differential I buy.
