gunna try the readers digest/my version of quitting smoking, after 19 yrs of 1 1/2 packs of Marlboro reds a day. My youngest son,(he was 6 then) asked me if I would quit for him. (insert teary eye here) well it was a Sunday afternoon, I was doin yard stuff and drinkin mass quantities of beers, and I realized I only had like 7 smokes left in the pack, so around 8 that evening, I smoked the last one in the pack, finished my beer and went to bed knowing it was going to be about 7 hrs until I awoke. I had also read that nicotine stays in yer system for only like 3 days. So that Monday moring, I knew I had gone 7 hrs without a butt, just had to get thru that 1st day. Well the 1st day turned into 24 yrs and 39lbs later of no cigarette smoke. it was difficult, but after 3 days...it's all in yer head. Motivation is great, but the desire to quit is a must

Well said and thank you for sharing.
It’s been 10 years and 9 months since I had my last cigarette, and I will never go back.

This was so good it required research. These guys are brilliant. Any one of us could have probably done this.
