Same here. Hard to complain when my wife and I are still working full time. I really feel for those folks that can't.

I started a three month vacation just over two weeks ago. I had plans to spend a few weeks exploring Hells Canyon and the Alvord area, but we're staying at home til things settle down and everyone else has to go back to work :) I stocked upon project materials when everyone started hoarding toilet paper, so I've got plenty to keep myself busy. Also, I think I'm going to borrow your material storage rack idea. I think I've got a good spot for it.

I had a big action packer full of truck project materials that I'd picked up during various sales over the past couple of years. Solar panel stuff, air compressor, MESO switch panel, driving lights, etc. I've made a dent in those projects and can now see the bottom of the bin. I'll start working on house projects as the weather gets nicer. I figure I've got another month worth of projects before I start to get bored.

So, I've been neglecting my forum buddies something fierce! Here's an update for you.

    IMG_20200405_124310.jpg IMG_20200405_124329.jpg
Started cutting and fitting the wall panels inside the door of the camper. This is going to look so nice. Tired of seeing the unfinished wall sections here.

I was going to design and have made my own custom MOLLE panel but decided the time wasn't worth it when this was ready made and available right now. Grey man tactical. Nice panel. I would order from him again. Picked up a few Molle pouches to store things and such.

    IMG_20200410_154457.jpg
Here's the other wall panel and where the Molle panel will sit. I'm going to put bungee rigging above this like a sea kayak deck. Same with the other wall. It'll be quick easy storage for jackets and stuff like that.

    IMG_20200411_105451.jpg
First coat of epoxy on the back side of the panels. Gotta seal everything up! There are a lot of steps left to finish these up but every step done is a step closer to finished.

I can't even imagine a world where camper work isn't a thing. Sounds amazing when I say it out loud though!

I'm debating on how to attach these panels to the walls. Originally I was going to epoxy them in place for the utmost in attachment security. Then I thought maybe I should fasten them with screws. Then I went to VHB (very high bond) tape and a few screws. I'm not sure they need to be removable and that is the key question to answer before figuring out a path forward.

Yeah, that would be nice because it would stick instantly and I wouldn't have to use screws to hold it until the epoxy cures.

Assuming you don’t need to make them removable, I’ve used the stuff a lot for countertops, it holds up pretty well

The only reasons I'd ever need to remove them is if I hated the layout/storage type or they rotted. Of course, I've embedded this same plywood into the camper in very non removable ways so rotting probably shouldn't be a concern

    Slowly working through the quarantine.

    IMG_20200415_134227.jpg
A good thick second coat of epoxy on the front and back of the panels. I don't like shiny so I'm going to sand these with 220 grit then use a red scotchbrite pad with water, then a buffer. I've done this before and it comes out a nice, smooth satin finish.

    IMG_20200421_145113.jpg
Today I got my shipment of heavy duty stainless steel pad eyes. These will be attached to the two panels and I'll use 3/16" shock cord in a pattern through them to create some nice quick stash spots for jackets, towels, whatever. Still need to order the shock cord but it won't slow me down.

I'm not currently working on the panels because I'm getting my Husky 701 in shape for a trip in July. Assuming the US isn't shut down in July.
    IMG_20200421_155045.jpg
New bars, bar mounts, grips, exhaust, skid plate, tires, and a good clean..it's gonna take a minute. :D

My wife and I are considering going to Overland Expo Mountain in August in Loveland, CO. Anyone here planning to go? I may enter for a chance to be in the DIY vehicle showcase. (Not that they'll choose me) I'd have to give a 50 minute walk-around talk about the truck if I'm chosen but it'll be cheaper to enter so there's that.

Wow...it's been a long time! Progress is being made but in small bits over long periods of time. So, like usual then. :D

    IMG_20200703_102458.jpg
Got the first panel epoxied in place.

    IMG_20200706_171035.jpg
    Second panel in place!

    IMG_20200707_165523.jpg
Greyman tactical MOLLE panel and bags installed. So far I'm digging it. Nice to see some finish panels over these areas.

Now I just need to order 3/16" bungee cord to finish them off. I'm debating: black, brown, or tan for the cord. I can get black and tan right now but brown is out of stock.
