That’s for a much later date. But this weekend I did manage to hopefully finish beefing up my rear shackle hangers for the last time.

Used some leftover 1/4” wall from my sliders.

You’re ditching your 4wd, so I wouldn’t worry about beefing up the bamf hangers. They’re definitely going to be good enough for you. My issues were from dropping the truck on rocks while crawling.

Gotcha. Yes the factory ones are crap. Most aftermarket are good for the majority of people. I’m just not the majority of people lol

guess I’ll be buying the Total Chaos secondary shock mounts since they allow for some more tolerances.

The coil bucket gussets were not made with heims in mind. I just cut down the outer spacers to get the gussets to fit properly.

pretty sure my towers already bent is why the bypass mount won’t line up right. The outer gusset is from the heim and spacer pushing it out. The holes as well aren’t indexed properly along with the gap at the frame if they did line up.

Adding on to my previous post. The holes line up to the coilover bolts. My pockets are so bent and possibly twisted it won’t mount to the frame as designed because if it.
So they won’t work for me. So I have a set of pivot gussets and bypass mounts if anyone needs any. Won’t work for me at this point. Got them too late for my tower lol

What are you asking for the mounts? I already have TC gussets installed, so I don't need those.

Why don’t you take your truck to an auto body shop and get towers/frame pulled back to spec ?

could use some 1/4 plate to fill in the gap. would strengthen the frame as well

Mass beef! Hmmm wonder if we should look into some reinforcement for the mighty “fire sauce packet?”

If I end up keeping my taco, I will be doing something like this. The DMZ kit is nice, but if you actually go wheelin in your truck, you will drag the hangers...

It was a relatively quick job and if we planned for it I could pre-make most of the parts. Definitely happy with the outcome, just curious how it will handle a beating. Sadly my buddies Moab bachelor party is delayed now so don’t know when I’ll test this quite yet.

Yeah if you’re crawling you’re gonna drag any of the sua hangers. They just hang so low. I probably spend just as much time hung up on shackle hangers as sliders in the rocks.
