just what I wanted to hear. Just got the hangars but really wanted to get a crossbar. ill ping you on that. But following the rest of the conversation, I was thinking of Deavers and man it sounds like its a no brainer. I swapped out to some longer upgrade shocks and its nice but feel like its really missing something and it must be the OME's now that are limiting it. I was expecting the rear to ride way better than it does now.

I just need to see which deavers since she is becoming a heavy beast.

Here’s a few things we’ve worked on over the last month or two.

Andrew brought his truck in for archive sua, shock relocation, and hammer hanger install, as well as one of our archive hammer hanger cross braces. We also added all the total chaos gussets up front and custom king shocks all the way. Rear suspension cycled 14” with 3/4” shaft showing at full bump.

We also performed a cab mount relocation as well. To help clear the 35” tires and new method wheels we installed.

A lot of spindle installs and tc gussets being installed on the weekends here’s a few weve done.

Fixtures and design have also been finalized for both our archive and bamf hanger crossbars. Archive crossbars are currently in production. I am still looking for one more local interested in a bamf crossbar so I can test fit our production bar on one last truck. Vehicle owner will get a discount on a bar for their truck once they are in final production.

here’s a pic of both bar setups.

we are also really excited to have @Laoturk truck in the shop. Lots of guys ask about custom bumpers, buts he’s the first in a long while to come correct. We are stoked to be building him a new bumper or two. We will also be locking down our final production version of our 12” rear shock hoop kits for long bed Tacoma’s and setting him up with a fresh rear suspension

Thanks Ed. You don’t need welding school. I went to welding school but never touched a mig gun there. It was all stick welding, which i suck at. I’ve never had anyone instruct me on mig welding. I just prep every joint and approach every weld like I’m trying to lay down the best weld I’ve ever laid, and the improvement and consistency has followed. The changes will be subtle, but I look back at stuff I did two or three years ago and can’t believe how good I thought I was at the time.

2nd gens are better, change my mind.

Awesome work brotha. I’m loving the new feel of the truck, it’s like a whole different vehicle now. I have some more changes planned, definitely going to be staying in touch.

I had my first chance to take it on a trip. Performed flawlessly. FYI for anyone who has a 4.0 auto, 35s work on stock gearing. Don’t let everybody fool you about having to regear immediately. Long term, of course you should swap them out to make it less work for your truck.

Thanks Andrew. Your truck turned out great. I could tell from the initial test drive that once we installed the new suspension and got it aligned it would drive like a brand new truck. I’m sure the difference was night and day.

For the last two years I’ve been building aftermarket leaf spring hanger cross braces for local customers using @archive_garage hammer hangers or @bayareametalfab leaf spring hangers on their 2nd and 3rd gen Tacoma’s. The time has come that we now have our fixtures setup and can offer cross braces that can be shipped to directly to the customer. The archive version has already gone thru final fit ups and orders can be placed immediately. The bamf version has gone thru final production design, but I am still@looking for one more local vehicle with a straight frame to test the final fit up on one more time. All crossbars are built with dom tubing and 3/16” plate, as well as @camburgracing billet tube adapters to make install easier and to give us a smaller shipping footprint.

Lots going on in the shop. Got a few custom builds going on and we’re still doing standard suspension installs. Hit us up for install prices as well as prices for parts like king shocks, total chaos, dirt king, camburg, spod, etc.

    here’s a recent suspension install.

I always forget about this thread since almost everything has moved to social media. Here’s a few jobs we recently wrapped up or are currently working on.

Install fox dsc dampeners all around, total chaos uca’s, and deaver leaf springs. Also did a cmc while we had the front end tire apart.
