a pretty full career across 3 branches, never once ran a floor buffer. Only swabbed a deck once, and then not even the whole thing, because not all Marines are dumb.

    That's about it.

Let's just say I didnt want to swab the schoolhouse, so as a young Pvt I put about half a bottle of pine oil in the bucket. A few minutes later the building cleared due to the overpowering smell.
They got the last laugh though. I got sent to the base dump to dig for recyclables until class started, 6 weeks later. It wasn't that bad, I only "worked" an hour or so a day.

Hope that’s just a joke poster because none of those actually offer protection. Of course if it is real, it would just be typical high level leadership giving a false sense of protection.

It's not to protect YOU, it's to keep your nasty diseased ass from spraying your spew quite as far and infecting others.

Yeah that’s true, but with Covid, it can travel through the mask. So what if the actual spray doesn’t come through, the virus does. Obviously it is better then nothing but again, it’s barely even minimal protection.

So no change to previous OPORD.

The only authorized face covering for Marines is their issued neck gaiter.

Thats an Army COL, likely a BDE CDR or DIV DCO or something.

I’m assuming the it’s the only authorized face cover, since it’s already authorized, but it’s still minimal protection. I’m all for something basically standardized, and not extreme, but no reason not to allow an N95 mask. That’s what my comment was referring to.

I'm just saying that it's probably not fake, just a poor attempt at appealing to the "fellow kids". If the USMC has decided uniformity is more important than protection why couldn't the US Army?
