Actually yeah, that makes sense.

 

Its sad how corporate greed is the major roadblock to technological advancement

 

Seat belts don’t like paint. They’ll retract horribly. Also these belts have the airbag charge on them. They’re like 300 a piece

 

Just get a black sheepskin seatbelt cover like your grandmother probably had in her crown vic.

Or put a resistor the same ohm as the charge reads so you can fool the srs system and fit any other seatbelt there

 

Yea no I do want that to work correctly. I’m debating doing the webbing myself or pay. It’s 75 bucks to have a set done.. that’s not too bad.

 

The seatbelt should be tight already if it retracts

As long as it holds you from going forward

For 75 bucks get it done

Yep. I've done that to replace SRS seats with seats from an earlier model without SRS. Just measure the resistance on the seat or seatbelt and patch in a matching resistor.
