Perhaps I worded that wrong. I know what my LSD and TRAC OFF does as far as spinning or not spinning tires. I'm referring to the engine managing power as 'traction control' and wanted to be on the same page as those that were wondering if a manual trans and traction control existed together in one truck. Which it does.

I love that thread though! Good info.

@Lucario Runner - If you are looking at dual post. Make sure you only get the type with the bottom joining bar vs the top bar.. I've seen trucks and cars alike get the roof dented from not paying attention and faulty safety stops.

They're installed, but I think that pic pre-dates them. BTW, assume you received your envelope?

It's a 2013 Access Cab 4x4 V6 6MT, TRD OR & Tow Packages, which certainly seemed rare when I shopped them (in 2016). I found only about half-a-dozen listings nationwide. My son and I flew to NY to pick it up and drive it home. Many co-workers couldn't understand why I went to so much trouble for a Tacoma because "they're everywhere." While Tacomas are somewhat common, I knew the specific configuration and options I wanted and this fit the bill. (Only thing I'd have preferred that I didn't get was Silver Sky Metallic or Magnetic Gray Metallic color.)

Yes, like most of us in this thread, I spend wayt too much time in (and money because of) TacomaWorld!

Still on the stock airbox, but at least it's got a AfE Pro DRY S filter in it. Better CAI is on my wish list, but hasn't risen to the top yet. (So many toys and wants, so little fundage and time...)

@David K updated his tutorial (the best one I've seen) in 2018. I believe the latest edition is located here.

It's a Direct Lift. More info below, but drop me a PM if you have addiitonal questions.
While many look similar, they're not all created equally. Knowing I wanted to eventually store a car on the lift, and I didn't want to drill my garage floor (that wasn't poured with a lift in mind), I decided a 4-post version was right for my needs. I looked at several brands/models including Direct Lift (a subsidiary of Rotary Lift), Bendpak, Challenger, and Quality. IMO, Direct-Lift offered the most bang for the buck - They're Automotive Lift Institute (ALI) Certified (an important safety consideration); include casters, drip trays, and a jack tray at no extra charge (other brands charged extra for those); operate on 110VAC (less expensive and easier to install than 220VAC); have a locking mechanism that doesn't require compressed air (simpler and easier to operate); and are among the more competitively-priced. Their Pro Park 8S (which I have) was also among the most suitable for somewhat space-constrained installs. (The bay in which I put it is only 19ft by 9.75ft.) I added a Pro Jack 3500, to enable tire and suspesion work. (The Pro Jack also came in quite handy when removing/replacing C7 Side Skirts!)

yes on a db lift. swaybar needs to move farther forward than mounts allow.
