Well there is only about 20k on the front diff gear setup. Other concern is it will be full time 4x4 (everything spinning except at the Tcase) once I do my swap. So if the gears aren’t setup it could potentially get damaged.

Was trying to avoid dropping the diff but thinking I’ll have to....

I’m doing the ADD delete. So the driveshaft for the front will be spinning but The tcase will be in neutral. if you decide to not do the add delete you will have to engage the front diff ADD with a switch.

right now the diff doesn’t spin with the ADD on our trucks. Helps on fuel and is why you have to engage 4x4 every month to ensure the bearings get lubricated.

Interesting, Peter, and just following this now. So what is the advantage? Which vehicle uses this in stock form? Thanks.

So right now I am using a tcase from an auto fj and the diff tube out of a manual fj.

The auto fj has the manual t-case But uses the same add in the front diff as us on the taco. The manual fj cruiser has awd but has a center diff lock.

the reason I am using the fj tcase is it gets rid of the 4wd actuator. The fj tube on the front diff gets rid of the add actuator. This simplifies the system as no computers or actuators are being used. My 4wd ecu is gone. Dash lights still work as it’s just two sensors on the shift forks that go straight to the dash lights. Additionally it makes it stronger as the add tubes have been known to break with larger tires. Also no expensive actuators that could fail.

How do you like the Falcons? Would you recommend them? Can you PM a price for the tow/haul model?

Molly Hogan trail splice for any of you guys who are still using cables on your winches. Something to practice in the garage with a cold one to pass the time.

Watched this and it doesn’t seem overly complicated. Think carrying some bolt clasps may be helpful in the case of a break.

The guy in the video said even electrical tape will do the job when the wires are properly braided.
