Wow! You guys were busy on Saturday! Some great entries! Looking forward to seeing how many Easter meals make their way in here. I'm compiling everything and getting the entry post ready to go.

    Good luck all!

WOW! What a lot of great looking cooks! I might as well just toss the towel in right now and give up LOL. And I may.

8-12" of snow predicted by tomorrow morning and not going to get above freezing for a few days yet. Probably should switch out my sockless moccasins for boots and wool socks I can hardly feel my toes right now.

Going to smoke a few things on the 26" kettle today but main course this evening is a waugu arm roast I picked up last fall and thawed.

    NOT AN ENTRY (Yet)

    waugu arm roast.jpg

Heavy salt and cracked pepper crust. Got the snake lit just as it started snowing.

    fires lit.jpg

Found a half bottle of Glenlivet 12 in the cabinet wish it was 15 or older but it will do. Have the Jameson if I need to. By the end of the day with this cold and snow have a feeling I will "need to"...

Local butcher shop tried carrying waugu last fall for awhile. So I had to try some picked up some steaks and the roast. The steaks were freaking awesome and hope the roast is also sure looks like it will be. Apparently most people cringe at the cost of it so they stopped carrying it :pout:It is worth every penny from what I have had so far. May be too expensive for everyday protein but for special occasions is perfect IMO.

I would bite if I saw Wagyu like that at my local shop. Did you cook the steaks any different from a ribeye?

No I didn't they were ribeyes and I cooked them just like I do normal ribeyes. First bite or 2 wasn't so sure it was worth so much money but by the third it was oh yeah baby, it is worth it!

You can get waugu beef on line but it is even more expensive then add in shipping etc. it adds up fast. When it goes on sale though it is really tempting....

So.. concept here.. and certainly not the correct thread to throw out this idea.. but what if we had a locked thread with links to all the good recipes with descriptions for each so searching for them is easier? I'm saying locked so that the OP can add to it but all the ugly people can't fill it with BS or douchbagery... Thoughts? Anyone interested in maintaining something like this?
