Is the pricing for just the axles sorted? I have new shocks on the way I can't use without axles....

The LCA mounting kit is going to solve a ton of OEM problems, I wish this has been around 5 years ago, it would have saved me alot of work

Why do you think companies like total chaos for instance never tried to correct this issue and push the pivot farther forward? Are their long travel kits able to add enough caster to where its not necessary or to labor intensive?

The LT kits are meant to be a bolt-on solution that are possible to race on. It's kind of a non issue and a change in how rigs are being modified. If you're willing to go LT, most likely you have a body mount chop. You can still get +4.5° degrees of caster with LT and it may be enough for most. Every company specs their kit and give a max tire size to use with. The nice thing I see about this cradle is the robustness and the option to adjust alignment a bit further if you're running a larger tire than a 35". The marketing material doesn't specify (so I can only assume) that additional caster is built into the upper arm as well. So on an LT kit having +1.5 caster on the upper arm and adjustable lower arm, it would be nice to get into the +6° range to avoid too much firewall modification, but you'll run into contact with the front half of the wheel wheel. There's plenty of give and take when it comes to alignments but another price to pay having more options to adjust.

    Different issues.

If you're running LT and or big tires you cut up your truck. You also typically beat the shit out of it. And TC has some products to help make things stronger, but they are ultimately a race truck company selling down into the "buy bolt on shit off the internet" market.

This product let's you cut your truck up less, which is a goal for alot of us. The result is much cleaner build with alot more capability, without haveing to run glass fenders. it makThat's Anda huuge selling point. And it makes things substantially stronger, also a huge goal if you actually use your truck.*

The bad news is the amount of welding required, which is non trivial for the newby but it will get you over your fear of cutting and welding on the frame early.

*I'm surprised there aren't a few more entries in this awesome giveaway our host is running, but aren't that many people on this forum actually using thier rigs hard enough to bend the frame. Probably less than 100 out of all the active members.

Yeah...I honestly can't afford to beat on my $30k DD the way a lot of you do. That's what $5k dirt bikes are for.

Still interested, nonetheless, and happily following along.

When I originally did my truck I wasn’t trying to beat on it at all. My goal was to run bigger tires without any lift and have them clear through the entire range of travel. I don’t understand most of the people on this forum that lift their trucks to clear bigger tires. If you have to lift your truck the tires DONT fit!! To me fit means clears lock to lock, droop to bump. In addition to actually getting the tires to fit I also wanted more caster and then the over kill strength because why not.

Your fab work is impressive in all your builds, so I always follow along and learn something.

Anyone who's crawled under a modern IFS Toyota knows how flimsy the factory mounts truly are. I've bumped out, even just in the moderate wheeling I do, enough to confirm that. Additionally, I get rub running 275 70 17s and really have no interest in CMCing if I don't have to when I size up to 33's or 34's. I was ready to burn in a MC gusset kit but have been holding off to see the developments here because I feel your kit truly does offer a one-shot, one-kill solution to a lot of problems. Thanks and keep up the good work!

Adding positive caster with the UCA actually puts the tire closer to the firewall. Just having more caster doesn't necessarily give you more clearance.

I had to bend and weld all my cam tabs and hammer back my LCA mounts, but it wasn't that bad. The rear half of my frame is super bad though. The whole frame is bent and my rear hangers were bent pretty bad before I 63 swapped

05-15 Lower Arm Pivots work with an existing full set of skids? Meaning I already have the BAMF trilogy and would not need the skid that comes with this kit. Would this kit fit under my existing skids with or without the skid that comes with it?

I’m sure they could be made to work with some modifications however you will loose ground clearance. The skid plate that comes with the kit is designed to maximize ground clearance well beyond anything else available

Going to use a 14” 2.5 free bleed and the clearance all depends on the wheel off set. As for the bumps we will see, the new springs will allow the axle to bottom out on the bottom of the frame

Shit! I can’t find the pics of the LCA mount but here’s the rest that happened all at once

    I like to party :notsure:

One of the front diff mounts lost a bolt somewhere between here and Death Valley. Another walked out and wallowed out a hole. Bound up locked front and rear at slick rock, the whole diff rotated upward and snapped the diff mount, diff smashed a hole the size of a personal pizza in the lower oil pan, bent a tie rod into a 90* angle, broke the inner CV cup, and ripped off one of the LCA mounts.

ONE OF MY LCA eccentric bolts is still welded to the frame 2 years later :anonymous:
