This is embarrassing. Went back through the receipts from the PO and it appears the last brake system flush was almost 9 years and 30K miles ago. Same for the coolant.

thank you. Seems simple enough. Just ordered the center caps. I’ll post something up when they come in and are installed.

Time for stainless steel lines and a flush at the same time?
You will feel a big difference if you do both.
I got the LCE lines for the front and rear

No doubt time for fluid flush, that’s a no-brainer and has to happen. The brake lines just went on my wish list.

Cool, if your not the original owner this just popped into my mind is to replace the rear differential breather valve if it’s all gummed up and possibly not working correctly.

It’s a part that get over looked and only cost 10.00 or so from the dealer.

Mine went bad and blow out my rear axle seal and that repair was very expensive.
Luckily only one side blew out.
A new 10.00 valve part would have prevented that.

For $10 I can’t go wrong. Few years ago we had the drain line from the washing machine pop out of the drain and the ensuing flood caused thousands in damage. Could have been avoided with a two-cent cable tie.

Installed an (outside air) temperature and voltmeter in one of the 12V dash slots. Check it out:

    Remove original 12v socket:
    8A31DCF2-E855-4D56-9470-607819C6F51D.jpg
Enlarge hole diameter slightly to standard 1-1/8” using a step drill bit.
    90E38899-C1E0-492C-A5CF-A75406FCB7FA.jpg
Trim off small inner fin so threaded securement nut can screw all the way down.
    ACBE5ADD-B9BC-4C91-8777-366F7BA168A5.jpg
Re-install back into truck using some small jumper cables to connect to stock 12v connector and route outside air temperature sensor into desired spot under the hood. Enjoy your final results! ;)

Unless money is an issue, the entire caliper for those 5 lugs isnt that expensive. $65 after the core refund for a caliper sans bracket from Oreily.

You could always run down to the parts store and see if they have one in stock to figure out what size the bleeder is.

That’s a great idea , I’ll have to wait till tomorrow since it’s Easter Sunday and most of the auto supply stores closed early

Id call to be sure they have it unless you have the pleasure of living near a parts warehouse. In my experience, I always have to wait on calipers to be shipped to the parts stores.

My guess is it's probably a pretty standard size for Toyotas. I found the part number for the bleeder and looked up on TPD and below are some of the models that part covered.

EDIT: I didn't notice partsouq gave 47547-35020 as a substitution. Correct part number was 47547-04010. Still, i bet both parts work so basically a bleeder for any of the models below should be fine.

And for the cost, I imagine the parts store would only have a few different metric sized bleeders on the shelf. Could just buy a few and use whichever one works.
