I’d go bolt on in New England, in my opinion. They will inevitably rust so i’d suggest having the ability to take them off fairly easily for a respray. Just me, but I really don’t like spraying things while they’re on the truck. I know you can mask things off, I just prefer to take them off.

It's a pain to clean lol. Using an angle grinder with a 60 grit disc and it cloggs up due to the bedliner. It's funny cause I can tell where the primer worked well and other areas where it was rusting. But they are only like half clean at the moment. Probably going to turn some of the welds into full length as well. And I definitely plan on a spring spray. Sort of thinking spraying regardless of pandemic depending how long this will last since frankly I don't really have to get close to anybody though it would be nicer to actually hangout. I still have product too but need to order some more. When I took the sliders off I touched up the frame paint where some rubbed off and then sprayed woolwax

My friend has weld shop in east providence if you are interested. Done many tacos on here. I laid hard climbing after the deep water. I saw you hit frame a few times but that's about it.

Being in the shipping industry I ended up, plastic wrapping the truck to paint. Such a pain in the ass.

I would use one of those wire cups on an angle grinder, they are awesome for initial prep and they don’t clog up. Just make sure you wear a face shield or safety glasses at the very least. Mask isn’t a bad idea either since they turn everything into dust.
I’m going to have to do something similar, I want to tint the marker lights in the mirrors. They are a complete PITA to get out and you risk breaking retainer clips on an expensive mirror so i’m resorting to spraying them on the truck when it warms up. I’ll have the truck covered up pretty well when I tackle that.

Yea a lot wasn't coming off. It's faster with the 60 grit lol

Well let me get an order in and I'll update you after arrival. Probably take a week or less

@DoubleRGirl When you trade in a vehicle, does the dealer care about which oem wheels are on the vehicle?

And the Spec B, that was fun! You could even get it as a wagon in Europe.

not to butt in. But if you don’t know and might be in ri. You pay sales tax on the full sale price, not deducting trade in, if it’s a truck. Found that out the hard way with the Tacoma. Fortunately my trade was 3k ish nothing dramatic. But if I traded up for a new Tacoma I’d probably private my current truck.

Most dealers will assess the vehicle and may note if there are aftermarket parts on it they can pick out, but if they’re OEM parts, most sales staff don’t know enough about the vehicle to know what was on it to begin with. I know I don’t buy/sell nearly as much as RRG, but i’ve never even had a dealership question it and I have yet to trade a vehicle in with the wheels it came with.

Only time I can see it being an issue is if it’s obvious and it’s a downgraded wheel. Like you’re trading in a Limited with steel wheels.

In general usually not, unless they're dubs or something. I had my t4r appraised and asked if he cared what kind of rack I put back on, to replace the prinsu. He didn't care
